What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday, lovies!! Since it's the middle of the week, that means I'm linking up with Jamie @ this kind of love for another edition of What I'm Loving Wednesday! (head over and link up, so we can all see what you're loving this Wednesday!)

1. I'm loving that I'm typing this blog post on my brand new Macbook Pro! I have been needing to get a new computer for a bit before my HP laptop (that I loved) died. My old laptop's battery would last only about 5-10 minutes when unplugged from the wall and was starting to give the tell-tale signs (freezing at boot up, extremely slow) that it was on its last legs. I'd been toying with getting a Mac for a while since everyone and their mother tells me they are tha bomb diggity (you like that throwback??)! So, I bit the bullet, and bought one. I'm loving it--but am still in the process of training my PC-brain to adapt to the Mac.

2. I'm loving the response to my FBO post yesterday. (You can find it here if you missed it.) You all have been so sweet and supportive, and it still amazes me that so many of you who I have never met, care so much and take the time out to read and comment on my life happenings. So, thank you to you all!

3. I'm loving dating someone who lives in the same city that I do!! I haven't dated someone in the same city as me in years! My last relationship was obviously long distance, and the one before that, we lived on opposite sides of DC, making it virtually impossible to see each other during the week with traffic. This is new for me, but I'm really liking being able to call MP up (or vice versa), ask if he wants to go out to/make dinner, and then being able to up and go! This sounds so small, but it makes a WORLD of difference. Finally feels like I'm in a "normal" relationship. Woohoo!

4. I'm loving that I'm still on summer vacation. I'm NOT loving, however, that this is my last week of it before going back! You teachers out there might be going "What?? So soon??" but it's because I work at a year-round school. The next two weeks will be orientation/set up (aka, borrrrring), and then the kids start the first week of August. So, while you teacher friends are relaxing and soaking up more of the summer sun, think of me! (I'll promise to think of you all when I get my two week breaks in October and April, and my three weeks off in Dec-Jan!)

5. I'm loving that, even though today is going to be hot, the humidity is going away. It has been crazy hot the last couple of days (and I'm saying that after having come back from visiting Texas!) but the temps are going down tomorrow (mid 80's...yes please!!) Plus, I'm getting a haircut today and I'd really love it if my hair could be at its maximum cuteness potential rather than being all sweaty, frizzy, etc.

6. I'm loving that MP and I are cooking dinner together tonight! It's a recipe for Chicken Parmesan Bundles that I found on Pinterest (freaking love that site). I bought everything that we need for dinner yesterday (we'd planned on doing it last night but MP's work held him up and he insisted that we go and get my computer as planned, so we decided to hold off til tonight). I also bought hummus and pita chips, salad/fixin's, and vino! Along with some mint chocolate chip ice cream for dessert. Dang, I'm getting hungry thinking about this already and it's only 8am!

  7. You will LOVE your Mac! I finally got one after having two really nice PC's crash and burn after 2 years. It was different getting used to it but once you do, when you get on a PC again, you'll find yourself doing stuff you can only do on a Mac. haha

  10. I love pinterest too! And the Chicken Parmesan recipe you have looks amazing. We go back to school in 2 weeks, but it looks like we will have to push that back a couple of weeks because the construction is way behind schedule.
