What's Hap-"Pinning" Wednesday? {#9}

Happy Wednesday! Hopefully your week's going by quickly and not dragging!

To get through the hump, let's talk about what's hap-"pinning" lately! Link up with Jessi and I below about anything that you've been pinning, things you've been up to lately...anything!

This weekend Cooper is turning 7, and I've been looking back at photos of him over the last 7 years, and I figured I'd share a few of them with you since there are so many cute ones of him--too many to choose!
I love so many things about Cooper...
~he is the absolute sweetest intentioned dog ever, loving everyone he meets

~his tail wiggles could power a village if we hooked it up to a generator

~he is the best cuddler on the planet (and will welcome himself into your lap without hesitation)

~he's a great road trip partner (whether I'm in the driver's seat or the passenger seat)
~he loves cheese just as much as I do (and knows immediately when the cheese drawer gets opened)

~he makes me want to stay home from work just to get in some extra snuggles
~he loves being around kids-even when they dress him up in silly clothes
~he's come to work with me before, and eagerly awaits meeting all of the kids

~he loves the snow and will barrel head first into a pile of it, snowplowing his way around
~he was a trooper through months and months of seizures (which have, thankfully, been taken care of with medicine!)

~he's super smart and can always tell when we are leaving on a trip, or just out of the house (and will refuse to give us nose licks when this happens)
~he does some of the funniest poses when awake and asleep
~he brings so much happiness to our family

And just to continue the dog-loving theme, I saw these quotes and sentiments which totally rang true to me:
{via}                                        {via}                                       {via}

If you couldn't tell, Cooper is pretty special to us...hopefully you enjoyed the little look back at some of Cooper's highlights--I know my heart is filled with all kinds of warm fuzzies right now :)
Now it's your turn to link up with my beautiful co-host, Jessi, and I and share what's hap-"pinning" with you!

Friday Faves!

{via}
Happy Friday!! Another week already gone...and somehow we're in mid-August! What the freak is happening with time??? Anyway, rather than dwell on that, I'll focus on my favorites:

{1}-Favorite City: Chicago
After our 4 day vacay in Chicago, I've decided that it's my newest, favorite big city. There was so much to do (we still have a ton we would do if we went back), the city offered so much in one place (lake, river, beach, skyscrapers, small neighborhoods) and we met some really awesome people (I've texted with the girl in the couple we met and hung out with every day since!). Not to mention all of the amazing food, and the quality time with my husband (all the heart eyes!)

{2} Favorite Delivery
After some annoyances, my Nordstrom multi-color glitter earrings FINALLY arrived Wednesday (they were cancelled by Nordtroms, then re-ordered, then delayed...basically I figured the universe was telling me I shouldn't have them), but they are here and they are beautiful! If I only keep one pair, it will likely be these because they are gorgeous! (but I'm still having trouble deciding to let go of the pink ones haha)

{3} Favorite Purchase
This MIRA water bottle! I reviewed it yesterday (you can find it here). It's just like a Swell bottle but basically half the price. Love that it keeps my drinks cold all day long!

{4} The Weather
I know sometimes this is in my favorites, but when it's as nice out as it has been this week, it deserves mention. I sat out on our deck for 4 hours reading yesterday, and did not drip one tiny droplet of sweat the entire time because it was SO gorgeous out, and--my personal favorite--no humidity!! Cooper even came out and joined me for a little bit! The weather is supposed to be just as gorgeous today and I have some pool time on the docket. Give me all the pretty weather and sunshine, please and thank you!!!!

{5} Puppy cuteness
This week's funnies revolve around dogs--Cooper had his teeth cleaned and a couple of tooth extractions on Monday, which inspired my dog gifs.

What your dog must be thinking when he's still high on anesthesia:

Happy Friday, loves! Hope you have a great weekend in store!
Catch you on Monday!!

Friday Faves

Happy first day of May!!!
I feel like I should let out a "Thank you, Jesus" that it's finally Friday. This week has been looooooooong and full of multiple meetings for me (more than 6 this week!) Needless to say, I'm 110% ready for this weekend to get here!

But, before that, let's talk about some favorites!
Friday Favorites // Friday Favorites // Oh Hey Friday// 5 on Friday

{1}-Nice weather, zero gravity chairs and our deck
The weather this week has finally been super Spring-like and beautiful, so we've been enjoying it as much as possible. Grilling, eating dinner outside on the deck...I came home from work yesterday, grabbed a beer, and my Kindle, sat myself in our new zero gravity chairs and enjoyed the sunshine.
she is not pregnant in this pic haha

{2}-Baby Shower
My friend Jenn is having a baby shower tomorrow and I'm going to get to see the glowing mama-to-be, along with some of my old coworkers who I haven't seen in a long time! It'll be so nice to get to hang out with everyone and celebrate a new little baby!

{3}-Party party!
The same day as the shower, we have plans to go hang out with some friends to celebrate birthdays, cinco de mayo (early), the kentucky derby, and they're having the Pacquiao fight on, too. It should be a good time--Saturday is gonna be BUSY...but a good kinda busy!

{4}-Double Blate
Christy and I are having a double blate with our men tonight! The last time we got together, Holly was in town (we'll miss you girl!) and didn't get to spend a ton of time since MG and I had anniversary plans and the girls were running the 10miler the next morning. This time around, there will be plenty of time to relax and celebrate the end of a very long week, with some great company!

{5}-A year ago...
I was reminded (thanks to Facebook) that a year ago, yesterday, MG and I closed on our house. This place truly feels like home. I love all of the work that we've done, together, to make it ours. We've already made so many memories here, and I can only imagine there will be so many more to come!
It was a big step, for sure, and all happened so quickly, but it was the best decision we made, to buy this house and make it our home!

And in case you need an extra dose of cuteness today, take a look at the Kentucky Derby Puppy Predictions from Jimmy Fallon. So. Much. Cute!

Happy Friday and happy weekend!!!

5 on Friday

It's my first FULL week back at work (no delays or days off) and it was a busy one! I think the next few weeks will be pretty busy, too.
Let's get to some 5 on Friday....most of mine are wedding-centered this week, so I apologize in advance :)

{1}-First Bridal Shower
this is what the invite looks like
I LOVE it! (not my info)
This time I'm talking about MY bridal shower!! My soon-to-be sisters-in-law and mother-in-law are throwing me a bridal shower up in PA so that MG's family and close friends up there can attend without having to come all the way to VA for the one down here. My mom and a friend of hers are coming up for it, too, so it will be nice to have all of the female part of my family there :) I'm super excited for a shower that's for ME! I've been to others and it will be fun to be the one in the spotlight this time (not to sound conceited). I've been trying to stay away from my registry the last few days (and boy how I have become the registry stalker!), so that the gifts are a surprise. I must say, I'm proud of myself because I haven't snuck a peek in the last 4 days.

{2}-Gifts and Response Cards
They continue to roll right in! We've received gifts already from people who can't attend my bridal shower, and they have been SO generous! MG's aunt and 3 cousins all chipped in and bought us a wine fridge, an electric wine opener and chiller, an aerator, drink coasters, a wine bottle coaster (that matches my serving tray), and a decorative wine cork holder. I may have used several of these the other night...in part because of a stressful day and in part because I couldn't wait to try them all out! :) The boxes from everything stacked higher than me in height!
We've also received several response cards already--I love seeing the sweet notes that people write on them...little "woohoo"s, smiley faces, and messages on the back of the cards--Love that people are so excited for us :)

{3}-Kid-sized Treat
{via}
This may not be blog-worthy, but oh well. I've been enjoying kid-sized apples that come in a mesh bag from Target the past two weeks (it's like $3 for a bag of 12 or more). MG and I both take one to work with us and they're the perfect size for a mid-morning or afternoon snack, plus I'm getting some fruit in my day! I'd gotten them a few months ago at Target but then they stopped carrying them. I hope that doesn't happen again because I like my daily kid-sized apple :)

{4}-My Wedding Dress
It's IN! I got the call yesterday that my wedding dress is at the store, waiting for me! So I made my first fitting/alterations appointment for Friday of next week and I can't wait!!! I drive by the store EVERY day after work and it is going to take all the will power in the world not to stop in there and just slip it on before my appointment on Friday. But, I want my mom to be there when I do, so I'll try and refrain :) YAY! This is all reeeeeally happening!!

{5}-Cuteness
What better way to get your end of the week/weekend off to the right start than with a jumble of puppies?
{via}
If you're not smiling now, I don't know how to help you any further.

I hope your Fridays and weekends are FAB! I know I absolutely can't wait for mine! :)

Holiday Cheer

Now that MG is back, I feel like I can really start getting behind the holidays and looking forward to them (holidays are best shared with those you love, right?)
I haven't fully participated in this "link up," but I've wanted to, so I'm going to pack this post with all kinds of things that can bring holiday cheer! (many of which are crafts, but who doesn't love a good craft? At least to pretend that you're going to do/make it anyway...much like myself!) Anyway....

Are you ready?
Who doesn't love a cute little gnome decoration? I love their tall hats!
How about some cute Santa cupcakes? I could see these being a hit at a party,
especially with kids!
A cute, low-key casual holiday-esque outfit. I love the bright red!
Ribbon and beads, make these cute little trees (hey, that rhymed!)
I could see these being attached to presents or being hung from a tree
If you're like me, there are definitely several wine bottles being brought out
during this time of year for all of the celebrations...
why not make a cute Santa craft out of some? Love this idea!
Celebrate the holidays, AND make your tummy happy!
What a cute cupcake wreath! LOVE this idea, too!
I think these ornaments are adorable! Would be such a cute idea to have kid thumbprints for the reindeer as they get older! Santa ornament is super cute!
And now for some extra cuteness...
Dress up your dog like Rudolph! SO flippin' cute!!
And last but not least, a post like this would not be nearly as fun without a funny in it. So I give you this:
SO so so so cute!
That's all I've got for today.
Yay holiday cheer!!

Oh, and to add to my general cheer.....today marks 4 MONTHS until our wedding!! Eeek! :)

BookBlogger Hop

Happy Friday, all! The weekend could not come soon enough for me, however it looks like it is going to be a wet, and potentially dangerous weekend. Hopefully it's just the rain, which means I will totally NOT feet guilty about sitting around my apartment in my PJ's watching tv, reading and surfing the internet all day! hehe.

This girl was stupid enough NOT to go to the grocery store as planned yesterday and therefore will probably have to face the onslaught of freaked out people loading up on supplies. I just need milk. And maybe some eggs.  Not bracing for the end of the world, altho given the events of this week, perhaps I should be!

Anyway, since it's Friday, I'm linking up with Crazy for Books for her weekly Book Blogger Hop.

Book Blogger Hop
Except THIS week, it has nothing to do with books haha.

“Non-book-related this week!! Do you have pets?”

Yes, I have a pet and his name is Cooper. I actually had two posts yesterday in which he was mentioned. He is a miniature poodle, who is about one month away from being 3. He is a fluffy, loving, super friendly dog. He is one of the dogs that people meet and 9 times out of 10 they are like "He is SOOOO friendly." My dog loves animals, adults, kids....if it moves, Cooper likes it! The only thing dangerous about my pup is that he LOVES to lick. I don't get it. It's annoying. But, I love him to pieces!!!

When Coop was just a little pup!
Cooper on his 2nd birthday, all fluffy and cute!

Head on over to Crazy for Books and link up! (Esp if you are just crazy for your pet!) hehe

Perhaps I should have invested in one of these for Cooper given the upcoming hurricane coming:

It was too cute not to post....

Animals Are Amazing

This is my second post for the day, but I just came across this article on Yahoo.

Earlier this year my mom had sent me this site also, which touched me beyond belief.

I have always been amazed at the bond between animals and humans. It's one of those things that you don't understand until you have one of your own. Probably similarly to being a parent, but I can't comment on that at this point in my life.

I have a dog, Cooper. I've posted about him on here a few times. He's a cute and cuddly, super friendly, happy-go-lucky miniature poodle (altho everyone asks me if he is a maltese or a bichon). After having him, I can't imagine my life without him. Sometimes it has popped in my head how I would feel if he wasn't here anymore and I can't even bear the thought of it.

The articles above just shows what a truly special bond there can be between an animal and a human.

So, if you have a pet, make sure to give them an extra squeezy poo and let them know just how much they mean to you! They definitely understand.
