About Me

Hi! I'm Jenn!

This blog started as a creative outlet for me when I was in a long distance relationship (hence the name of the blog). When that relationship ended, I embraced the change and expanded the idea behind my blog from being about a long distance relationship, to being about going the distance in my life. I haven't regretted that for a second.

Some more about me....

I'm in a loving relationship with my fiance husband, MG.

Of all places, we met on Match.com. We always laugh whenever the Match commercials come on and say "Who meets that way??" :)

We got engaged over Memorial Day weekend in Philly and it was one of the most memorable days of my life!
And then, on April 12, 2014 we got married and it was the most perfect day (I know everyone says that, but it really was!)

We live together with my cute, cuddly and super-friendly mini-poodle, Cooper.
He's my doggy soul mate. I've been told by tons of people that they've never met a dog like him before. He's my pup with the sweetest disposition ever. He's even come to work with me before! (And, boy, do the kids like that!)

I work at an elementary school in Virginia, where I'm a speech pathologist. I get to work with kids on a daily basis, which is perfect for me, since I'm a kid at heart!

I've embraced the kitchen a lot, so I am continually trying out new recipes, usually found on Pinterest, and especially if it has to do with a crock pot! You can find the recipes that I've tried in the 'Recipes' tab at the top of my blog.

I also like to read a lot so you'll find lots of Book Reviews in that tab, too!

And the most recent area I've undertaken is home improvement projects. You'll be reading a lot about those as MG and I do updates to the house we bought in June. I'll be posting some helpful DIY's that I've learned through the process, as well!

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy following me along the journey.
Thanks for stopping by!

  7. I just came across your blog and I LOVE the name of it. I love that you took a change in your life and turned it into something positive and went with it.

By the way, I took a course with a woman in her 50's who met her husband on Match. She told us that it was crazy but amazing how her and this man met online and ended up falling in love and joining families. Match even flew them out to California to do one of those "We met on Match!" commercials and had a blast. Congratulations to you and your fiancé!

I'll be looking forward to keeping up with your blog. :)
