Blog Every Day in May {Day 10}

Day 10, Friday: Most embarrassing moment (s). Spill.

Ok, I've had a few embarrassing moments in my life, but this one is one of the first that
came to mind so we're gonna go with it!

{ to give you an idea of the setting }
Picture it: I was a freshman in high school and I had a HUGE crush on this senior boy on the Guys' Volleyball team at my school. Since I didn't make the Co-Ed team my first year, I decided to be a manager (and take care of my service learning hours at the same time). So, at one of the games, I'm in the bleachers drooling over my crush watching the guys' game and at some point my friend wants to go outside of the gym for whatever reason. So we start walking down the bleachers....of course I didn't take the stairs--I was WAY too cool for that.

Well, little old me accidentally steps on a clip board that was left on the bleacher.

I slip on it.

I fall.

The clip board goes flying.

And clattering against the bleachers.

And the worst part is that it was during a time-out so the entire gym was quiet. Dead quiet.

Cue: me. MORTIFIED.

I may or may not have ran out of the gym and proceeded to cry with my friend in the bathroom (although, let's be real, it's hard to separate all of the times I cried in the bathroom with a friend during these years lol).

Needless to say I was bruised. Body and ego.

Luckily that night on AIM (you remember AIM?), my crush and I chatted, I made a joke of it, and it was all good. At least that's how I remember it anyway :)

Nothing like being humiliated in your teenage years. Especially when a guy is involved haha.

Just remembering this makes me shudder!

  10. I also pulled a smooth one in front of a crowded hallway first day of freshman year. Slipped and fell and hit so hard that my forearm was bruised afterwards hehe. I know how to make an entrance till this day :)
