Blog Every Day in May {Day 8}

Day 8, Wednesday: A piece of advice you have for others. Anything at all.

I guess my biggest piece of advice to others, and to myself since I constantly need to remind myself of this, is to try not to worry too much.

There are things you can change, and things you can't.
There are things that are going to happen, and there are things that won't.

But, worrying about the what-if's takes away from "today" and the great things that are happening all around you. I don't wanna miss out on those cuz I'm too busy worrying about something that may or may not happen!

I'm a self-proclaimed worrier, and I'm constantly working on making this better, because it doesn't serve any purpose. It only occupies my time and doesn't fix anything.

It's something I'll probably have to keep working on my whole life (especially when I become a parent one day--EEK!), since it's in my nature to worry. But, as I've gotten older, it's gotten a little bit easier. And, with the help of my great friends who I have in my life (you know, the ones who smack you in the face *not literally* and tell you to calm the heck down), it's gotten less and less too! :)

  1. Love the new look :)

    Great advice. And so very true. Worrying really doesn't change the situation or influence the outcome. Having a plan and a strategy is better than worrying

  3. As you know, I am a HUGE worrier too. And, you're right - as time passes, I've started to realize that all the worrying doesn't really change anything. In fact, it just makes me feel worse about everything. So I am working on not letting this be part of my life anymore! Great piece of advice, Jenn!:)
