Five Faves on Friday

I feel like it's been a while since I did a Friday post, but it really hasn't been, it's just been a crazy last week plus!

It's the first Friday of the New Year, which means this is the first Friday Favorites post of 2015! Do you hear the crowd screaming with anticipation? No? Hmm maybe my ears are still ringing from new years then....;)
Anyway, let's get to some favorites! (this one has some great recommendations for new things to check out!)

{1}-New Years Eve/New Years
MG and I made dinner at home for New Years Eve and then got dressed up (put on my sparkly sequined dress) and ventured over to our friends' place for a NYE party. The night was filled with champs, fun conversations, dancing, getting caught up on the holidays, and celebrating. Basically, any night that involves champs and friends is a good night and NYE was no exception. The biggest win? Our Uber cab came within 10 minutes of getting called at 2am, and only cost us $13 to get home. We'll consider that the first win of 2015! :)

{2}-Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee
{via}
Have you heard of the web show with Jerry Seinfeld where he takes comedians out to coffee? I just watched the most recent one with Jimmy Fallon and I really like it. As if I didn't love Jimmy Fallon before (he's such a talented and just overall nice guy!) I love him even more after watching him hang out with Jerry Seinfeld for 30+ minutes. I can't believe it's already had five "seasons".
I'm definitely going to be watching more, with the other comedians!

{3} Prissy_Pig
Do you follow prissy_pig on Instagram? Well, you should (unless you don't like mini-pigs). It's a 1st grade teacher who has two mini-pigs (named Poppleton and Prissy--love the names!!), and they are basically just adorable. They get dressed up for different occasions and holidays, and they even get to go to school with the teacher! Follow them for some extra fun and cuteness in your day--you won't regret it!

{4} Serial
{via}
Have you heard of the podcast called Serial? I just heard about it on NYE, started listening to it yesterday and now I'm hooked (I listened to 5 episodes already)! It's a reporter's "journey" to try and look into a murder case that happened in 1999 in Baltimore. The accused was 17 at the time and is now in his early 30s in prison.  The original court case was thin, no hard evidence, etc. and the lawyer for the accused was later found to have mis-used client money and thought to have thrown several cases, this one included, to get money in an appeal process later on.  The podcast follows the journalist's interviews and information from the court case and subsequent information and people/"witnesses" to try and figure out what actually happened. After the first 2 episodes, I was already SO addicted--perfect to listen to at the gym or driving to and from work. Check it out!

{5} Funny Church
I love when random places do something creative and funny. When MG and I were in NYC last weekend we saw this sign outside of a church by our friends' place and it was too perfect not to photograph and share:
If you can't read it clearly it says "We're all about dat grace, Bout dat grace No Devil!"
And on that fun note, I hope your Friday and weekend are all about dat Grace, and No Devil! ;)
Catch ya on Monday!

  16. I too just found Serial and have become obsessed! It's making my commute go by much faster and I'll be sad when I listen to the last episode.

    Jimmy Fallon vacations near my home and we've seen him out and about, he's very down to earth.
