5 on Friday

Whew! I am SOOOO glad that it's Friday. I have a crazy parent meeting waiting me at the end of the day today, so to say I'm excited for today to be over would be an understatement, especially after the craziness of the first week back after vacay. (Check out the first part of my recap here if you missed it yesterday.)

But, instead of focusing on the stressful stuff, let's get to some faves!

{1} Golden Girls Legos
Yes, you read that right.
This amazingness got over 10,000 votes and is now up for approval to actually be made. Go check out the site for the rest of the photos of the design. How stinkin' funny!

This seriously made my day.

{2} Girls' Happy Hour
Yesterday I went to happy hour with some fellow SLP friends after work yesterday. We'd been planning it as something to look forward to after getting back from Spring Break and I'm SO glad that we did. It's always nice to get in a little girl time, and unwind from the week. Plus, I really like the girls that I was with, which makes all the difference in the world!

{3} The Jinx
You guys have probably heard about Robert Durst in the news the past month or so. Have you watched the HBO Documentary on his past? He was a real estate tycoon (part of a family who was anyway) and was suspected of murder in 3 separate instances, and never was convicted......and then he did this documentary. And totally got himself caught. MG and I watched part of it before we left for vacation, and finished it this week. Wow! If you haven't seen it yet, you should definitely watch it. It was almost like Serial in the way things were presented and how it all unfolded. Highly recommend!

{4} Anniversary Weekend
This Sunday it'll be a year since MG and I said our "I do's" and I can't believe how fast the year has gone. We've done so much--got married, bought a house, did a ton of home projects, settled into married life, started trying to make our family bigger, vacations.... It's been a year full of so much happiness and fun and that's because I have my best friend by my side.
We'll be going out to dinner on Saturday night and enjoying our anniversary cake later at home, and I'm pretty sure MG is going to love the present that I got for him!

{5} Cherry Blossoms
{via}
DC is known around this time for their cherry blossoms and the Cherry Blossom Festival. MG and I got married at this same time last year (duh) and it's so fun that the peak bloom for the blossoms will be this weekend, again this year. Not to mention the weather is supposed to be great which is totally welcome after the rainy, colder days we've had. I love my city, but especially around times like this when the extra beauty shines through :)

I hope your weekend is full of beautiful weather and lots of fun plans!

  6. If I had a kid, I would totally want them playing with those Golden Girls legos - so awesome.

We just ordered HBO Now (getting ready for Game of Thrones!), so I need to catch up on all of my HBO shows - Jinx and Going Clear are on the top of my list.

I always try and plan trips to DC around cherry blossom season, but they always come early or late - I rarely get to see them! Maybe next year.

    Happy anniversary!
