Happy Monday, loves! I hope your day's already off to a great start after the weekend!
This was a busy one, but super productive for us. Amazing how much easier it is to get stuff done when you're not laid up sick for the whole weekend!
My weekend highlights included:
~Friday afternoon work out
~Friday date night with MG at our favorite pizza spot
~Watching the sun set on the deck with MG and a glass of wine after dinner
these chairs are seriously the best thing ever |
~Up early. Spent the day painting the rest of the basement, guest bedroom down there and stairwell.
That's not even all of the outlet plates we needed.... |
~Could have been part of a meme about how you end up in a hospital from jerry-rigging silly stuff at home, with how we ended up painting the area above the stairs (luckily we didn't end up there tho!)
~Did a Costco run and some other errands and stopped by YardHouse for dinner.
~Got the last two seats at the bar when the wait for a table was over an hour and 15 minutes #winning
~After so much good food, some blueberry wheat beers and a long day of painting, slept for over 10 hours
~Sunday morning, MG went golfing and I went shopping
~Started reading The Girl on the Train (really good so far!)
~Painted the fireplace in the basement (buhbye off-white!)
a small sneak peek at what we've been up to....(the carpet is going back to the 90s,--or the trash can--where it belongs, soon!)
~Got some news that a good friend of mine at work is leaving at the end of the school year :(
~Had Chipotle for dinner (yummies!), watched Game of Thrones and recorded the last Mad Men to watch tonight!
Linking up with these pretties today:
Hope your weekend was fab!
What a fun, productive, delicious weekend all in one! Cheers to that! xx
ReplyDeleteYou already know how I feel about the paint - LOVE IT!!! I'm so happy you were able to score yourself some great goodies at target - now you have to show how you style everything!!! Hope you have a wonderful Monday love! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteSuch a productive wknd! Good job, girl. I, on the other hand, was sick and got nothing done!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great weekend! Ok any weekend that involves pizza and shopping, oh and Yard House, is a good weekend in my opinion! Man, that's a lot out outlet covers girl! Cant wait to see how it turns out!

Boy, you two truly are productive! I feel like my weekends I'm trying to catch up on laundry/cleaning and then I blink and it's gone.. ugh.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how everything here is painted this off-white/beige color. Where I'm from everything starts as stark white (and I so much prefer that).. I may have to hire professional help to paint all ceilings, doors, and off white walls. hahaha and get a second job to pay for it.. ;)
I have so much catching up to do on Mad Men, I haven't seen part 1 or 2 of the last season. All that painting looks great, and I'm sure you guys are exhausted but it's well worth it. And Yard House? YUM!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous week :)
super productive weekend you had - nice job!!!
ReplyDeleteWine on the back deck is always a great idea :) We love Yard House - have you ever tried their Orange Peel Chicken? It's soo good!!
ReplyDeleteLoving your Target finds (as usual!) You totally deserved that shopping trip. I'm really good at math and golfing totally = shopping;) So excited to pick up Girl on a Train. I'm going to take it with me on our beach trip in a couple of weeks!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a fun and productive weekend! I'm terrified of how we are going to paint the area above our stairs ... Should be interesting. Looks like you got quite a few shopping goodies, too! Target?
ReplyDeleteSounds like a productive weekend! That pizza looks REALLY good! Love that red flowery dress you bought! Where did you get it? Can't wait to see more of your home improvements! Thanks for linking up today!

Sounds like you were quite productive this weekend! I'm glad you got in some good food and got some stuff done!Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteYum that pizza looks delicious and I love all your deck time! YardHouse looks like the perfect place to celebrate all your painting – haha getting the last seats at the bar is such a win! Love all your shopping finds!
ReplyDeleteI have Girl on the Train waiting for me on my Kindle app. I'm going to read it the first week of summer vacation as a "Yay the school year is over and it's summer" book! I just finished The Good Girl, you should totally add that to your must-read list. Really good!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great weekend! :)
Y'all were super productive! Love the newly painted fireplace.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an awesome weekend! You'll have to let me know what you think of Girl on the Train...I'm pretty skeptical of reading a book that's so frequently compared to Gone Girl...which I hated..
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun weekend! I love weekends full of house projects :)
