Currently...

I'm linking up with Christy today for a round of 'Currently.'
Reading ...
Still reading The 5th Wave, but am making strides to get it finished. The long weekend and the day off on Tuesday for snow/ice helped me make a bigger dent in this one. Hoping Ill be done this weekend!

Listening to...
lots and lots of kids coming up and down the hallway outside of my office. Normally it's pretty quiet down my wing of the building, but since they started doing renovations, the door at the end of my hallway is now one of the big entrances and exits, which means LOTS of foot traffic, and LOTS of noise.

Watching ...
The Bachelor, of course (so glad Olivia is gone!), Real Housewives of BH, Married at First Sight (season finale next week!!), Big Bang Theory, Hollywood Medium Tyler Henry (so fascinating!) and The People vs OJ Simpson (also really good!)

Cooking...

I made my super easy chili recipe on Monday night since it was cold, and icy out that night. Perfect for the cold nights!
Looking forward to ...
our friend's birthday party this weekend

Wishing...
that Spring would hurry up and get here. Minus the allergy part. This weekend is supposed to be in the 60s which is a welcome change from 20s and 30s!

Enjoying ...
what was likely our last snow/ice day off this year. It was a nice surprise after the long weekend to get another day, especially since the majority of mine was spent at the hospital visiting my dad, or trying to get over my cold.

Loving....
my supportive friends who have reached out, checked in, and been there 100%, through the good times, and the bad.

Wanting ...
the people who like to try and start drama, or kick people while they're down, to spend their energy getting a meaningful purpose to their boring life and just go away. Nobody has time for that nonsense and stupidity. #byefelicia #sopathetic #yourparentswouldbeproud

Wearing ...
I feel like all I've been wearing lately are boots. It's been too cold to even attempt flats, so it's either riding boots, Ugg boots, or snow boots for me lately. Hopefully that'll change this weekend with some warmer weather! #fingerscrossed

Grateful For...
doctors and nurses who care, and do the best for their patients. And my husband, who is just incredible :)

Don't forget to link up what you're up to currently!

  1. The weather is supposed to get warmer here on the weekend, too! It already has been slowly making its way. Definitely have to be thankful for the hospital staff...it makes such a difference when you know the patient is in good hands!

  4. Girl, I'm with you on the crazy people; just GO AWAY! And yes to some of those TV shows! I feel like we can't get away from anything OJ-related, either…especially with the whole Katherine/Faye thing on RHOBH!

  7. And its going to be 80 here so another reason to come visit soon. Love you tons and sending all the love and prayers for your daddy and you and well your whole family. Remember this is a season just like nasty winter and eventually the clouds will part and things will get better. As for noisy kids... I wish you could set up some sort of booby trap and douse them in water haha. xoxo

  8. We've been experiencing Spring like weather all week. Sunny and 80 here. But the nice kinda 80 not the gross summer 80. lol But I wouldn't mind a snow day or two. Even just 1 ice storm because then the city of Houston would shut down! lol

Hope you're Dad is doing better!

  10. Yay it's supposed to warm up a bit here too and I can't wait to slip shoes on that aren't boots! So so glad that Olivia is gone, I was laughing at how they just made her stand there!

  11. 60's! That will be perrrrrfect! I'm refusing to turn on the air conditioner in freaking February but this 90 degree weather is about to do us in! I've been opening the windows in the morning and at night to help cool down the house but once allergies start I won't be able to. They are so killer for Eric :(

  14. I'm definitely going to miss the snow days but not the snow - cannot wait for spring!! I'm so addicted to the OJ series - I stayed up way past my bedtime last night to catch up.

  15. I'm really hoping it warms up-- even just a little bit-- for good. So excited for the warmer temps this weekend. I hope your cold is getting better and that your dad is doing okay.

  16. I remember last year you got a ton of snows days...it seems to be a lot less this year! I'm also watching Married at First Sight and the People vs OJ but need to get caught on some....thank goodness for doctors and nurses, seriously! I hope your Dad is on the mend.

  17. Thanks to Texas' bipolar weather- 80 degrees today but it'll be in the 50's this weekend- my allergies are already kicking my butt! I'm so glad Olivia is gone also but with the girls remaining there isn't any drama and I kinda miss the cat fights (like Clare and Nikki)! The remaining girls all seem to be close which is also kind of nice for a change.

  18. It's supposed to be in the 50's here this weekend (which is insane for Feb!) and I am SO excited!! Definitely ready to say goodbye to winter! Also, loving this season of The Bachelor - I actually like I all of the girls he has left!

  21. My daughter is dying to see The Fifth Wave. What do you think based on the book? Okay for a ten year old?

  22. My allergies already think it is spring! We don't get as cold as y'all but I am sick of the back and forth between cold and mild, make up your mind mother nature! Here's to drama out the door!

  23. I'm loving all of the shows that you're watching right now, and wish that I had time to get caught up on all of them! My husband and I still talk about watching the People vs. OJ Simpson, but we haven't had the time to watch it yet. I'm still so jealous of your snow days! I wish that we had the opportunity to be off from work every now and then.

  24. I wish it would get warm here! All I wear is boots too and I'm actually getting tired of it.. as much as I love boots. I'm so ready for some dry warm weather!!!!

  29. We have been obsessed with The People v OJ. We got addicted to it quickly. I'm right there with you with Spring. I am so over the winter and winter has been so easy this year. We haven't had a lot of snow but I need flats, denim jackets and ankle length pants ASAP!
