Happy Monday, loves! After a fun-filled weekend, friends and yummy food, I'm definitely not ready to jump into the work week, but alas...we must!
My highlights this weekend included:
~getting out of work early to pick up my friend Lynn during some free time while she was in town
~Happy Hour at Bracket Room (Chris Bukowski's bar) for a couple of hours of catch up, girl chat, the most delicious mac n cheese, and some nice quality time together
~a mini dinner date night with MG, ending the night watching Dateline
~Did a little saturday shopping and got our friends' new twins (a girl and a boy) two cute little outfits for when we get to meet them this week (I mean, look at that little ruffle butt! I die)

~Picked up a new chair for MG's desk at Pier 1 to replace his old one--love the pattern and the rivets!
~Drove to National Harbor for a little daytime excursion--but boy was it chilly near the water!
~Stopped at a tea shop and finally got started on my journey to drinking more tea since we went on our food tour in Chicago
~Had lunch at Granite City and headed back home
~After taking a week off, we finished the last part of our puzzle (that sky was torture!! haha), followed by some cozy reading
~Had a double date planned in Old Town, but our one friend got sick so MG and I had an intimate date night just the two of us (with shrimp and scallop mushroom risotto that was pretty banging)
~Came home and watched Everest--holy Moses, that movie is SO well done, and SO intense!!! Totally recommend it!
~Proceeded to have dreams about the movie the entire night once we went to bed
~Woke up and tried my first batch of tea--it is SO good! #teadrinker
~Ran some Sunday morning errands, with a stop at Panera for some breakfast bagels!
~Headed to our friends' housewarming in DC to see their new place and bring them a housewarming gift--got to meet a lot of their friends from South Carolina who were so nice and fun
~Made our way to another Superbowl party to see another group of friends and watch the game
~ate so much yummy Superbowl food--why is football food so dang good??
~Rooted for the Panthers for all of my Carolina girls!
And after that, we made our way home and into bed to start the week!
How was your Superbowl weekend?
~.~.~
