We've reached another hump day and you know what that means...time for another round of what's hap-"pinning" where you can share things that are going on in your life, stuff you've been pinning...anything!
Since it's the "weekend of love" with Valentine's Day falling on Sunday, I've been seeing a bunch of super cute DIY's around the interwebs. Now, I'm not a huge Valentine's Day person, but I think it's fun to do little things for the ones we love. Here are some of the DIY's I've found--some for him, some for her, the kids, or just decor:
I love these for some cute little touches around the house!
I think these are both super simple, but very cute ideas. I could see giving the candy jar to a friend, teacher, kid...and the cups could easily go to newlyweds, a friend or a spouse!
And when all else fails, a heart-shaped cake (or any cake, cupcake or sweet treat let's be honest), and a thoughtful card will always do the trick!
I thought I'd share with you a DIY that I did for MG our first Valentine's Day together. It took some time as I stenciled in the entire background. Then I ordered scrabble letters, and figured out what words would cross (and fit) within the frame I had, then glued them down onto the background. And lastly, I used a blank scrabble letter and put a heart on it.
We've actually gotten several compliments on this as friends come over and see it. Our friends John and Jacqueline were here two weekends ago and Jacqueline raved about how cute it was.
(I edited out the bottom, which has our names intertwined as well, so that's why it looks a little "off" and incomplete at the bottom)

Now it's your turn to link up with Jessi and I to share what's hap-"pinning" with you!

I loved those dotted heart mugs - so stinking cute! I have a feeling they just wouldn't look that cute if I did them though:/ For some reason, my projects never turn out quite like I hope, lol. Love your Scrabble letter art too. Super cute and unique!

ReplyDeleteThe heart-shaped cake is one I've been meaning to try for a while now! I have to do it. :)
ReplyDeleteSo much cute decor! I don't typically decorate for Valentine's Day, but those heart branches are so cute in the one picture - I have a white pitcher exactly like that in our family room, so I probably could easily pull that off. And, loo how crafty you are with that little sign, so cute.
ReplyDeleteThese are all such great ideas and simple enough to do!
