Letters

It's been a while since I wrote out some "letters" so, why not?
Dear Spring......Please hurry up and actually start acting like Spring. The 30s and 40s don't count as Spring. Winter is done. So last season!

Dear Trump....Please go away. Seriously, just go.
Dear House of Cards.....thank you for getting good again. And holy crap did sh*t hit the fan at the end of this season. I'm gonna need you to hurry up and come out with Season 5 like tomorrow. Please and thank you.
Dear Today Show.....you're my favorite part about not having to go to work. Sipping coffee and watching you is the perfect way to ease into my day.  I love Savannah and Matt.

Dear Cooper.....thank you for being the perfect little snuggle buddy when MG was away for the weekend. And for just being super cute all the time. You're the puppy love of my life :)
Dear Dad.....thank you for visiting me in my dreams on Sunday night. It was so good to see you and hold your hand. I've missed you so much. Please come and visit me more.

Dear YardHouse.....thank you for never being busy during the work week so I can get in without a 2 hour wait and enjoy your delicious food when I have the day off (or meetings where I have free time to go out for lunch). Your menu is amazing and I'm never disappointed.
Dear Annoying Parent....please stop emailing me. Over the weekend, over Spring Break. Just stop. I'm on a break. I need a break. YOU are the reason I need this break, so please just give me some peace.

Dear Hamilton the Musical.....can you make your tickets not so expensive so that us "commoners" can come and see this amazing show? Celebrities and super rich people shouldn't be the only ones to get to enjoy it. $700 per ticket for the "cheap seats" isn't cheap.  I'd like to support the arts, but if I pay $700 for a ticket, I'm moving into the theater for the month.

Dear Ben Affleck....I'm glad your back tat is fake. And I think so is everyone else in the world. Because, let's be real...that shizz was naaaaaasty.

Dear Coffee....you are the elixir of life and I love that you and I have such a delicious relationship. Thanks for helping to make mornings bright and awake!

Who would you write a 'letter' to today?

  1. This is such a great post idea! I can't believe that parent is emailing you over break...shouldn't they be enjoying it as well? So awesome you had a great dream of your dad! Cooper is way too cute, seriously!

  11. Um yes yes and YES to all of these!!!! I finished House of Cards last night, after a particularly awful day and it made me totally forget my bad day! Well that and Chick-fil-a. I HATE when parents email me over the weekends and on breaks. I have a life too thank you very much! :)

  12. $700 for a theatre ticket? What the what? No thanks. I'll have to support the arts in other ways. So sorry you have an annoying parent with no boundaries - that's the bad part about email, etc - they think they have access to you at all times. If I were you, I wouldn't respond to email during your spring break and on weekends, etc. That's YOUR time and they need to respect that! Love this post today!

  13. Yes to the Trump thing, I just unfollowed someone on Instagram who kept loving on him, no thanks! Also how stinkin' adorable is Cooper!! Yay for your dad visiting your dreams, I hope he visits often too :)!! Hopefully that parent lets up on the emails, sheesh!

  15. My husband and I just started House of Cards(on second season)-I'm doing s good job not looking up spoilers.

I can't imagine the parents you deal with. Well, probably. Because they are the parents I take care of with their newborns only a few years prior:(

And don't even get me started on Hamilton-I want to see this show, but can't justify the ticket prices. I'm going to have to wait a few years to see this(or work some crazy overtime to go).

I'll have to try yard house before we move!

  16. I'm a GMA girl (which I'm usually home for) but I feel that same way about Kelly/Michael when I go in late or am home! Such a fun post - continue enjoying break!

  17. Love this! I can't wait for House of Cards. And to get home and get some puppy snuggles!

  18. So I'm a GMA fan, but I agree that on my non-work days... coffee and a morning show are my favorite ways to get the day started!!! I can't believe that parent is still bugging you. Give it up, parent!!!

  19. I agree about Trump. I seriously cringe every time I listen to him talk. I mean some things he says are hilarious because it's just so bizzare but no President should be talking like that. So happy your dad visited you in your dreams. my husband travels a lot for work so I'm so happy I have Lola to snuggle with and keep me company. She literally follows me everywhere now. lol

  29. That letter to your dad brought tears to my eyes :( Hugs for you!
I would also like to write a letter to spring! Don't tease us with a 70-degree day and then make it 30 degrees again!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Dear Mother Nature, please get your shit in gear because you need to decide if it's Spring or winter. If you're wondering my vote...SPRING!

    ;)

  31. This is a great post idea - I'm saving it for later! :) Amen to Mother Nature - she needs to get her shit together. 6-10 inches of snow on the way for us this week ...

  34. I STILL haven't watched House of Cards yet! Hopefully soon! I love the fact that the eCard talks about being pushed in front of a subway train! Puppies are seriously the best cuddle buddies! Sometimes I prefer Dart, even when Chris is home... Oops!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Great post idea. Ben Affleck's back tat is awful. So gross. I am on episode 6 of House of Cards and the last two were really good. I can't wait to watch the rest!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I've never been to Yard House before because of the wait! I totally agree about House of Cards! And Coop! And your dad's visit? So sweet! xo, Champagne&Suburbs

  37. What a sweet letter to your dad! Isn't Yardhouse wonderful especially when there isn't a wait?! Hope you're enjoying every moment of your break! Xo, Stephanie
