Confessions and Hashtags

I confess that....

.....when my data logging program at work finally had their passwords sync up with the rest of my work passwords, I was ecstatic. Especially since this program required capitals, numbers and special symbols....AND made us change it every 3 months! #toomanythingstoremember

.....I originally thought the idea of The People's Couch on Bravo was super stupid. And then I watched it one weekend and ended up cracking up. The commentary is amazing!
....I've been having trouble getting motivated to work out, especially after a long day at work. I'm forcing myself to do it, most of the time, but there are days that I just plonk my butt on the couch and give in to the day #wornout

.....I don't understand people who post things like "first movie as an engaged couple" or other every day things, especially months after you got engaged. I get the excitement over being engaged--I really do--but no one needs a run down of all of the every day firsts you're doing now that you're "engaged". Or, if you do, I want a list of everything like "first engaged poop" or "first engaged running of the dishwasher" lol #eyeroll
{via}
....I've had songs from the Hamilton soundtrack playing in my head when I wake up in the mornings. Maybe I've been listening to it a liiiiiiiittle too much #nah

....so many people have no-reply comments and it makes me sad that I can't respond to all of the comments that are left on my blog. If you've never heard back from me, it's because you're a no-reply comment blogger, it's not because I don't love you or your comments! #pinkyswear

....while I was having a 5 year old student practice his stuttering strategies by describing what was happening in pictures, he came across one of a man raking leaves. He asked me "what is he doing?" and I said "what is it called when you clean up the leaves?" and he said "Rape?" Uhhh...no. Not even close buddy. Needless to say I quickly corrected his mistake #phew
{via}
....when my friends and I were leaving dinner on Tuesday night we got up from the table and realized we were all wearing leopard print flats. And a picture had to be taken #greatmindsdressalike
....when MG is gone, I don't pick up after myself like I normally do. I look at it as kind of a "break" from having to be totally responsible. Don't get me wrong--my house would be totally fine for someone to walk into and not be grossed out, but it's just nice not to have to pick up after yourself for a few days. #lazygirl
{via}
.....based on the above confession, I'll be doing a light cleaning and straightening up when I get home from work in preparation for MG getting back tomorrow :) #cleanhappyhouse

....I just realized yesterday that Cameran from Southern Charm and I share a wedding anniversary. We not only got married on the same day, but the same year! Since she's my girl crush on Southern Charm, I'm pleased as punch! #funcoolfacts
....I got an email from my favorite little guy's mom (the ones who moved away last month) yesterday updating me on how he's been doing, and included two photos of him. She also told me that he still talks about me, which made my day! #swoon

That's it for me today--I feel like my soul has been cleansed :)
What are YOU confessing?

  1. Umm what that little boy called raking leaves is hilarious!!! You never know what's going to come out of the mouth of an elementary kid! And love that you and Cam share an anniversary! She's my favorite, too, but only because she's the only normal one in the bunch!

  2. I actually did the first engaged and married thing. Not on FB, but as we were doing things in life-I'd comment to my fiancé/husband. It sort of started out serious and now is a joke. Although, I'm sure I posted a few things on IG and am now blushing because that was prob annoying. We also are doing the month-a-versary for our first year. Nothing big-we just point it out to each other.

  3. My company just did the same password sync and I am SO happy! I agree with the no-reply bloggers, it makes me so sad! And how funny about the leopard flats?! Great minds really do think alike! Love them all! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

  4. I always thought the people's couch was a dumb premise, but now I feel like I should give it a try! Cameran is my favorite from Southern Charmed, too. That's so cool you guys share an anniversary!

  5. Totally not about this post- but last night I read an article about Zika and thought of you and your decision not to go to Aruba. How scary, I definitely would have made the same choice if I were you. And when my husband is away I enjoy a little less responsibility too and usually lots of treats!

  6. How fun that you and Camryn share the same wedding anniversary - she's my girl crush on that show too! No-reply makes me super sad too... have a great thursday! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  7. The password thing drives me nuts! One just expired, so now I have about a month until my main one does too and they can all be the same. Love the leopard flats, too funny!

  8. Ugh changing passwords is awful, I just don't have the brain power to remember all of that! Your pictures crack me up!! Phew is my favorite. Glad your little buddy is doing well.

  9. Lolllll I'm dying over your engaged confession! You're totally right. No reply commenters make me so sad too! I want to be able to respond to everyone. Hopefully your mention will get people to fix that. And I love Cameran on Southern Charm too!!

  10. ugh cameran is so damn cute - and that's awesome about the same day! can we talk about her dress and your dress - both different but both SO pretty. and the people's couch is SO funny. i thought it would be stupid too until i watched and now i totally record it! so so funny. also can we talk about how i always comment about the bravo things you talk about? like that's always my main focus. TOO funny haha

  11. I sure wish that Blogger would do something about the no-reply blogging thing! It's SOOOO annoying! And about once a month they always go switch mine back to a no-reply blogger and I don't even know it until somebody tells me (or I realize that I'm not getting any emails back) and I have to go through this whole rigamarole to get it changed back. JUST STOP IT, BLOGGER!

  12. Aren't all of the password requirements the WORST!? I swear I can't keep track of any of them! And too funny about the leopard flats, definitely your kind of people :-)

    ReplyDelete
  13. I don't watch The People's Couch all the time, but when I do...cracks me up! My leopard flats are one of my favorite pairs of shoes!

  14. I wish my husband would go away so I could relax and not pick up lol. Who are we kidding I am lucky if I don't leave 800 toys strewn about each night.

  15. Boo to no reply commenters. I wish there was a way to fix that. I love Southern Charm and Cam is easily my favorite. I lol'd too many times at her dinner party preparations this week. I also love her wardrobe, her sassy personality and her honesty.

  16. HA HA! It's probably just as annoying when I post all of my baby's "firsts" but I just can't stop myself, ha!
I need to email you back but I seriously have no idea what is up with my comments and email! I'm not even a no reply commenter... they just straight up stopped showing up in inboxes with no explanation and I can't figure out how to fix it. UGH!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I didn't even know there was a no reply blogger comment thing - I thought they were all reply-able. Now I'm going to have to pop back and check my comment out :)

    1. I can reply to you on here, but you don't really get a notification of it. If you have an email associated with your account, I can respond to you via email and then you get an actual response, instead of here.

  18. Ha!! I so agree with the password thing. I can NEVER remember the crazy work ones, so I write them on post-its, which is totally against the point of having a hard to hack password!

  19. I love Cameran on Southern Charm - definitely my favorite! And love these confessions - that engaged one...but really!

  20. I too have a girl crush on Cameran from Southern Charmed. That last episode when she went shopping for the dinner part was HILARIOUS!!! And then when what's her face got to her house to help her start cooking...I died even more. Plus she is super pretty, so there's that. lol Oh and I'm bad about picking up after myself if I'm the only one home too. And then I look around and am like...yeah better clean up, I'm filthy! lol

  21. Girl I feel you on the gym. I have been doing so good lately going every day after work BUT it's a struggle. I feel so much better when I go but I dread it until I get there!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. LOL @ first engaged poop. Seriously.

I love that you all wore similar shoes.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yay for MG coming home tomorrow! And ugh to password requirements, it makes it impossible to keep my passwords the same and then I forget them all and lock myself out :-P

  24. I love Cameran but I liked your wedding dress sooo much more than hers! So fun that y'all got married on the same day! Love all those leopard flats!!

  25. I hate when they want capitals and numbers and symbols, it's just too much haha! That is too funny about your student. It's always hard when kids say something really inappropriate and they don't know it, and you can't explain it. You look beautiful in your wedding picture! I haven't seen Southern Charm yet, keep meaning to though.

  26. Our work makes us change our password every 3 months.. and it has to be a combo of numbers and letters and we have to update in about 15 different systems.. it's so annoying!!! I get a lot of no-reply comments too and I always feel so bad I can't respond.. I don't know if they'd go back to my post to see if I replied to them that way, so I don't do that... in case it's a waste of time.

    ReplyDelete
  27. ahh Cam is my girl-crush too! (my husbands as well haha) I also HATE when I can't respond to bloggers bc they're no-reply - I feel like they think I'm rude so I try and post that no-reply help at least once every few months! Hope you have a great day friend! MUAH!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ugh to the passwords!! Mine are such a mess at work and I have like 3 different ones- it makes me crazy lol! LOLd at the engaged stuff- you are spot on with that one! Unless it's some MAJOR thing like "WE BOUGHT A HOUSE" I don't think the world needs to know people!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I love your thoughts on "first engaged" posts! I feel the same about "first married" posts too.

    ReplyDelete
  30. That show sounds so funny...I'll have to check it out because I'm all about funny shows. I do the same thing when my hubs is traveling. The dishes stay in the sink for a couple days. Oops lol

    ReplyDelete
  31. Not only do I want to be friends IRL with you, but if I was friends with Cameran too, I'd be ok with that!! She is my one of my favorite Charmers! I just wrote a post about "chicken with my head cut off" cleaning today haha! I was never bad about posting engaged stuff...but a few weeks before the wedding I was about about sharing "last _____ before we're mr and mrs". Ooops.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I lol'ed at the raking leaves misspeak, from the mouths of babes! I have similar leopard flats and love that you were all wearing them. The cleaning before hubby reminds me that the majority of my cleaning happens in the 10 minutes after anyone says "I'm on my way"

    ReplyDelete
  33. The People's Couch is hysterical! I love seeing other peoples reactions to things.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I love that you and Cameran are anniversary twins. My confession this week is definitely the amount I've been watching that show! Also, I totally do the same thing and AM NOT responsible when my husband is away ;)

  35. The People's Couch is seriously so awesome! The two girl best friends, they actually hosted the Pump Rules after show and were hilarious, and one of the three guys that always sits on the left was Derek from Full House! My husband and I might be slightly obsessed...
And the benefit of the husband being gone is that you don't have to be super clean anymore because who wants to adult alone.

  36. I haven't seen Southern Charm yet, but I just checked and the episodes are avaliable On Demand! Whoo-Hoo! I'm excited to watch. =)

And I absolutely loved the IG post of you and your friends with the matchy-matchy shoes. FUN!

  37. I'm with you girl! I work as a services coordinator for Early Development Birth to Three and sometimes after a day of visits, my workout gets pushed out of the priority zone!
I had to laugh about the engaged thing.. I have a girl on my facebook who does this for EVERYTHING. It is so obnoxious. :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm still laughing at our entire text conversation regarding the "First ______ as an Engaged" couple. I'll have to send you some screenshots of my BIL and new SIL with that…except now we're "First _____ as a Married Couple." Oh, Lawd.

  39. I got so annoyed when I had to change my password every few months when I was teaching! My dad taught me a great tip, though, of keeping your password the same every time, just adding a number. So for example, this month it could be Password! and then next Password!1 and then Password!2 and so forth! It was super helpful. Also cracking up about your engagement note!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ahh...the workout guilt. I seriously can only guarantee I'll get a workout if I go at 5am and somedays momma just needs a little more sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  41. i don't think i could work out when i got home from work...consistently. I have to do it first thing in the morning before i get ready for work to ensure it gets done. how funny with those leopard print shoes! love that you have "good" parents that update you on their kiddos.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I literally worked out for the first time after work tonight and I had to not sit down, just come home, change and go for it. Time will tell if this keeps up!

Oh, I hate password changes! I had to change two at work today!

    ReplyDelete
  43. omg the password thing drives me bonkers. and um first engaged poop made me laugh so hard. seriously though like who cares about any of these things haha... the movie or the poop? i had to make myself a morning person a few years ago because i straight up hate exercising after work. i want to sit on my butt and i deserve to lol. so i get my butt up in the morning. it sucks, but then i have the whole evening to do nothing.

  44. As a teacher, I love to hear from past students and receive the compliments too. They never get old. Unless it is from a past student you couldn' wait to have out of your class!! Kidding!! Not!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Girl you totally deserve to not pick up after yourself for a few days :)! Oh how awesome that you both share a wedding anniversary, she's definitely my girl crush too!! Your picture gives theirs a run for their money too ;)!

  46. Password requirements are so frustrating! I had to reset two of mine yesterday and had already forgotten them this morning. Love the leopard flats - I wear mine all the time! -xx Leah || Chasing Texas

  47. Cameran is the best on Southern Charm. Do you remember when she was on The Real World: San Diego. Man, my house looks like a mess at the end of the week if Nick is gone. I do I power clean, like, the day before he gets home. Love leopard flats - too cute and too funny!
