Happy Monday friends! Was your weekend full of sunshine because it FINALLY was here, and we took full advantage of it!
{via} |
My weekend highlights included:
~Getting home from work on Friday to MG being home!!! Lots of hugs and kisses were exchanged :)
~Got my Paris gifts from MG included a handbag from a Parisian store, some tea from Paris for my tea maker, and a Paris Starbucks mug (we try and collect the mugs wherever we go).
~Went on a double date with our friends to Chart House on the water--it was kind of last minute plans but worked out since we hadn't seen them for a while, and needed to be out and about to keep MG awake to get him back on schedule. We had SO many laughs throughout dinner that at one point we all had tears running down our faces, and my stomach was in pain from all of the laughing.
~had some delicious hot crab dip to start, baked stuffed shrimp for my entree, and ended the meal with chocolate lava cake #nomnomnom
~Saturday morning breakfast prepared by MG
~I ran to a local nursery to look at plants and get some ideas of what to plant for the front of our house with a friend of mine while MG took care of some yard work
~Went for a 4 mile urban hike with MG to soak in some of the gorgeous weather
~Got ready for our anniversary dinner At Farmers Fishers Bakers in Georgetown
Thankfully we had reservations because they were telling people it was a 3 hour wait!
~Had the most amazing brussel sprout and blue cheese salad to start, the cedar plank salmon for dinner, followed by a chocolate brownie sundae for dessert #morenoms
~Woke up early Sunday to run errands and picked up these two items at Target
(I might take back the lace shorts--as cute as they are, when you put them on, you can see the white pockets through the fabric :(
~Drove into DC to go to Eastern Market
~Perused all of the stalls and vendors, and ended up finally deciding what to do with the space behind the couch downstairs--we bought these fun retro prints of several of the places that we've been together (minus Paris, but we've both been) to hang up. So in love with them! Now we just need to get some black frames to hang them up!
~Had the most amazing rice bowl at one of the food vendors for an early lunch!
~Decided on the drive back home that we'd tackle pulling out the weeds and two lame bushes in the front of our house and then re-plant two rose bushes to start. It was about 2 hours worth of work, but looks so much cleaner over there!
(do you see Cooper in both photos, overseeing all of the work? haha)
~Started watching Catastrophe on Amazon at the recommendation of my friend, which is pretty good--we had several laughs during the few episodes we watched.
~Had dinner, then relaxed on the couch, and of course had some puppy snuggles
Cooper's life is so ruff, isn't it? ;) |
