Time for some confessions with Lynn and Danielle!
I confess that....
......when I got a work email saying that band classes would be practicing in the teachers lounge all morning (as in 3.5 hours), every morning for the next few weeks I almost screamed. My office is right next to the teachers lounge and it sounds as if they're practicing right in my office. And, let's be real, these are elementary school kids so it's never good. #passmetheearplugs
.....when I was opening the Costco jug of peanut butter pretzels, my finger got sliced by that thick foil/cardboard food sealer on top really badly. It's a SUPER deep cut. And it's on the tip of my middle finger. See? Being hungry can be dangerous! And painful. #middlefingeroutofcommission
.....I'm having what seems to be my second round of allergy attacks, probably because the weather's been so cold lately, the full season never really happened. Itchy eyes, scratchy throat...it's not been fun. Not to mention I'm still wearing a coat to work in the mornings. #givemeSpringdammit
.....I have been struggling to stay awake in the evenings. I don't know if it's the weather, or the allergies again, but past 8pm battling to keep my eyes open...and have lost that battle twice this week! #sleepyhead
.....I wish that the things that tasted super good were always good for you #badbutohsogood
....my assistant principal cornered me yesterday to ask me if I'd talked to a special ed teacher about a parent meeting on Friday when I was out (one with my work nemesis). I said we had, and then she went on to explain to me everything that had happened in the meeting. So, if you were gonna tell me that, why'd you ask me if I already knew what had happened? Because, I did. And I didn't need the repeat. #howmanymoredaystilSummer
....I found out that a really tough parent I deal with at work is not going to be at my school next year and I may have resisted doing a happy dance. Or maybe I did a happy dance. Or 5. #byebyecraycray
.......MG and I could use all of your thoughts and prayers this weekend that our next fertility treatment works. We're in the midst of getting the day narrowed down (either Saturday or Sunday--looking like Saturday morning right now), so if you have a spare minute, please keep us in your prayers that this round is the one that brings us a baby! #babylove
That's all that I'm confessing this week. What about you??
Practicing in the teacher's lounge?! That's crazy! I listen to middle school kids in beginner band play--there's no way I could listen to elementary kids play! Painful! And praying for you this weekend!

Oh girl, good luck at work these next few weeks. I was one of those band members in grade school and I know for sure we were not good. :) Thinking of you guys this weekend - fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteYou most definitely will be and have been in my prayers girl! I'm sorry I didn't mean to laugh but I totally know what you are talking about with those peanut butter pretzels. They are like crack and I make Mark open them because the last time he caught me stabbing the foil lid with a knife and he was horrified. Seriously though, how good are they?!?!?
ReplyDeleteY'all are definitely in our thoughts and prayers this weekend! And I hate to laugh, but that cracked me up about slicing your middle finger. Ouch! And I freaking hate that you have band practice right next door to your office -- ugh!
ReplyDeleteWe are currently going through fertility treatments too, I go in for an ultrasound today and then most likely our iui will be on Saturday morning. I'm praying for you! Thanks for sharing your story, it has really helped me feel not so alone during this tough season. Stay strong! Praying that we are both blessed with babies this time around :)
ReplyDeletePRAYERS!!! and lots of hugs and positive thoughts! My sister always says she's not sure if the kids or the parents are worse (she's a teacher) and this time of year just drags on. Summer is close and hopefully we'll finally get warm (dry) weather around here!
ReplyDeletesending ALL the love girly - sending positive thoughts! on a lighter note - i saw the snaps of the band practice and um no. horrible. and yay for no more parent you don't like!

ReplyDeletePrayers and positive thoughts for you guys!! And ouch to cutting your finger on the jar of pretzels!

Oh you two are definitely in my thoughts and prayers. Lots of baby sprinkles for you two. I slice my finger open on food packages often. I don't know why they make them so hard to open and close. My poor fingers can't handle it. I go to sleep around 9 pm most nights. Grandma status over here!!! Thanks for linking up.
ReplyDeleteOh elementary school band practice! My office is right next door to the band room so I get to hear the lovely sound of band practice all the time! Good luck with the procedure this weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh no I hope your finger (and your ear!) are going to be ok! Good luck with the treatments on Saturday!

ReplyDeleteI have a headache for you with that band practice situation! Congrats on ridding yourself of that parent. Hugs and good thoughts and vibes are heading y'alls way. And I hope you feel better, allergies are the worst!
ReplyDeleteHahah so glad the terrible (or one of the terrible!) parents will be off your back next year! You earn your summers, as teachers do one tough job! And yes - I vote invest in a nice pair of earplugs asap! So sorry!!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of you today, friend! Fingers crossed for that baby that I know you're destined to have. :)
ReplyDeleteLots of prayers to you guys
ReplyDeleteI'm so with you on the allergies! I wish they'd just go away. I remember my sister's early days in the band, I'll send earplugs! haha. Sending lots of baby prayers for y'all this weekend!! -xx Leah || Chasing Texas

ReplyDeleteI'm confessing that one more week of school and then off for the summer is going to make me happy dance. Prayers lifted up for you.
ReplyDeletekeeping you in my thoughts and hope all goes well love.
ReplyDeleteKC definitely does a happy dance when a bad kid/parent leaves the school lol. i can't believe the band practice though, ugh that would drive me nuts! and seriously my allergies are so bad right now i haven't been able to wear mascara because my eyes water when i sneeze too much lol. not fun!
Praying so hard for you guys.
ReplyDeleteLots of thoughts and prayers coming your way! Elementary band practice. I don't even think earplugs or headphones could even begin to help with that! The music teachers who handle that must be saints or slightly deaf! haha
