Happy May, friends! Our weekend was pretty much overcast and rained out, so pretty low key, but we still managed to squeeze some fun in between the rain drops!
My weekend highlights included:
~Friday night pizza date with MG at our favorite spot
Love seeing the new pizza box art work that's up every time we go!
~a post-dinner coffee date followed by a quiet night in (and thanks to the coffee I didn't fall asleep on the couch like I normally do haha)
~Did some cleaning around the house Saturday morning followed by an errand to Lowe's
~Took an unplanned last minute trip to one of our favorite furniture stores in the area to browse
Love this place!
~Gave myself a mani in a light grey Essie color ("Cocktail Bling"), but wasn't feeling it, so the next day I traded it out for Essie's Flowerista which is much more Springy
~Headed over to our friends' place for a cook out. Never thought on the last day of April I'd be wearing my Uggs, but alas Mother Nature decided Spring wasn't ready to come around fully just yet after all.

~Had these yummy cucumber infused watermelon martinis that were to die for delicious
~Spent most of the night inside because it started to rain...of course. And then called it a night around 11. (didn't get any snaps of the food but there was plenty and it was delicious!)
~Started Sunday off with more pouring rain, but strawberry pancakes helped to brighten the morning
~Ran errands for the week while trying not to get soaked
~Spent lots of lazy time inside coloring, watching tv, and cuddling with Coop
~We drove to have dinner with my mom for an early Mother's Day since we have a wedding out of town next weekend
~Had a pretty low key rest of Sunday evening before heading to bed for the week
It kind of stinks that we would be leaving for Aruba in 2 days time, especially since the highs for this week are in the low 60s, with rain in the forecast every single day. Been seeing the photos of our friends who are in Aruba and it's kind of torture. Wah!
Hopefully your weekend wasn't as washed out as ours was!
Love your mani, pretty color!! Oh how it rained here al weekend too, I could definitely go for Aruba right now, but you have Greece to look forward too and Aruba may happen someday! Looks like a perfect weekend for pizza, errands, snuggling, breakfast by hubs and mamas!! Here's to a great week beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteSeems like a good weekend, even with all the rain!! It is torture seeing pictures like that!!! Just load up on Greece pictures to make up for it. :) Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteBut you're going to have so much more fun in Greece!!! And the pizza looks amazing--pizza is my most favorite food ever!!! Have a dry week :)
ReplyDeleteSarah at MeetTheShaneyfelts
Oh, but your trip is going to be SO AMAZING! :) Love that cute mani, and those martinis look and sound delish!
ReplyDeleteI second what Sarah said - you're going to have such an amazing time in greece! I would totally do the same thing with my nails and have many many times!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteTotal bummer about Aruba but at the same time your upcoming trip will be amazing! Love flowerista! So perfect! Xo
ReplyDeleteI have had to bring out my uggs a few times lately too. Spring weather is so back and forth!! Love the Flowerista manicure!
ReplyDeleteEvelina @ Fortunate House
That pizza looks SO yummy! Flowerista is one of my favorite mani colors for spring, love it! And it sucks you aren't leaving for Aruba this week but you have the most amazing vacation coming up and I am SO jealous! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteGreece will be way more fun ;-) I'm glad that even though the weather was blah you still had a great weekend and it looks like there were plenty of good eats and drinks!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Amanda, Greece will be so much more fun and worth it! Looks like you had a great weekend and sorry that the weather is still blah. Have a great Monday!

I feel like it's never going to stop raining/stop being gloomy outside! That pizza box art is so cool and pizza sounds so good now! The furniture store looks awesome-- where is it? Flowerista is such a pretty color- I haven't painted my nails in a while and need to change that soon.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect weekend to me.
ReplyDeleteLove your nails! Such pretty colors! What a fun weekend :)
ReplyDeleteFun weekend!! All the food snaps! YUM!! And seriously, with this weather....yuck!! Most days I'm still in my rain boots and riding boots!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were still able to get some fun in despite the rainy weekend! :) PS. Just remember that for 10 (or was it 12) WHOLE days you'll be in EUROPE!!!!! lol PS. I think I would have done some major credit card damage had I been in that furniture store! lol
ReplyDeleteSounds like an awesome weekend and that pizza looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend and like you guys made the best out of your dreary weather :)
ReplyDeleteI love that bright nail color!
ReplyDeleteYay for pizza dates and homemade pancakes! Loving your nails, gorgeous colors! <3
ReplyDeleteGreen Fashionista
YUM, I love a good pizza place- that one looks great! Both of those nail polish colors are super cute, but definitely loving the more spring-y one now :) We have had SO MUCH rain and hail and everything in between- hoping this week we can catch a break from it.
ReplyDeleteWe were supposed to get a lot of rain this weekend, but luckily we only got a few showers kind of on and off the whole weekend. It sounds like y'all made the best of the terrible weather, and still had the chance to see some friends and do some shopping. Just think about how jealous all of your friends in Aruba are going to be when you're in Greece later on this year :)
ReplyDeleteOh my word, a cucumber watermelon martini sounds like perfection. Watermelon is my favorite fruity flavor so I would have been all over that! And coloring? A girl after my own heart! Sounds like we need to hang out sometime! And I mean that in a completely non-creeper kind of way. Lol.
ReplyDeleteSorry you guys had a ton of rain!!! Even though coloring inside while it's raining out sounds like a little bit of heaven to me!
ReplyDeleteEven though the weather sucks (New England, get with it!!), it still sounds like y'all had a good weekend :)
ReplyDeleteUgh seems like we had similar weekend weather, hoping the sun starts shining more for you guys too! It sounds like despite the rain and overcast, you guys had a great weekend! That pizza looks amazing, and yes to rainy day coloring!
ReplyDeletePizza box art....too cool! And if you can bring me one of those martini's that would be greattttt ;) haha, hope your weeks is a good one!
ReplyDeleteMostly washed out here too.
ReplyDeleteMmmm that martini sounds so refreshing! And I'm loving the pizza box art, how fun and quirky!
ReplyDeleteLove the Flowerista nail color...so much prettier for Spring although I'm sorry to hear Spring hasn't quite hit for you. The weather has been so weird and unpredictable this year.
ReplyDeleteThat martini sounds delicious! Loving the nail colors. I really need to paint mine like yesterday...
ReplyDeleteI love the rain, but living in Washington, you kind of get tired of it after the 7th month. But I hope that your rain stops soon and you can enjoy some 75-80 degree weather like we are! Ooh great choice on the second color for your manicure. Definitely a love spring color. I'm jealous because I can't paint my nails. Can't have nail polish in the bakery as it can chip off into food. We wear gloves, but they rip.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice, low-key weekend! Sometimes, those rainy-day weekends are the best. And I LOVE that new nail color! Perfect for spring!
ReplyDeletexo, jen @ www.bellenbrooks.com
Our weekend was pretty similar with the cold, rainy weather- so over it! Friday night pizza dates are our newest thing and it's the perfect way to end the week!
ReplyDeleteStoooop it with these cute snaps - I clearly missed these while in ATL. I'd like that cocktail right now actually and yes its before 11am .. oh and why not add the pizza too haha hope ya'll have agreat week! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteOh that martini sounds fab. What an exciting trip you have planned. You totally deserve it, this year has been tough for you, no one deserves it more than you. I'm so excited for you!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend! That martini looks delish and the coloring book looks so relaxing!! Make today work, Rachel -CubicleCouture
ReplyDeletei'll have you know, after your pancakes snap, we had pancakes. haha. they looked so good! i definitely prefer the flowernista colour, so pretty! and omg that pizza. and that furniture store!! i want to go there.
ReplyDeleteAruba schrumuba, who needs that when you have Greece! Sounds like a great weekend! That pizza looks sooooo good.
ReplyDeleteThose watermelon martini's look delicious and the puppy cuddles are the best!
ReplyDeleteI love that nail color! Actually..both of them.
ReplyDeleteBlessed Messes
I really like both nails colors, but I could see how you wanted to go more 'spring.' That furniture store looks really cool. We have this placed called At Home and it has everything you could ever dream up. It's HUGE and has everything you could ever need for your home.

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry that you didn't get to head to Aruba for the wedding. And that the weather isn't warm there to help. I love those nail polish colors. And that pizza looks so good.
