Confessions and Hashtags

I'm so happy that it's Thursday already! Starting the week on a Tuesday really sped up the week a lot!
I confess that....

......it's so nice having brand new windows throughout the house. I never thought I'd care about windows, until I owned a house with windows that were almost 30 years old. #youknowyoureoldwhen

.....I'm glad that MG was the one who stayed home to oversee the project--one day that I was actually happy to go to work. I got lots of text updates about the chaos (and the heat) in the house, and was happy to be in my air conditioned office at work instead! #homerenoprojects
(see what I mean when I said we basically have floor to ceiling windows??)

....I can't believe that it's already June. Like seriously, how did that happen? #whereistimegoing

.....I get nervous to recommend books to people because I'm afraid they won't like my rec's. I also feel bad when someone recommends a book to me and I don't like it, or love it as much as they do, because I don't want to hurt their feelings. #booknerdprobs

.....I put a bunch of snapchat filters on Cooper the other night 1) because I was bored and 2) because it entertained me. The top favorites?
(Harry Potter is my favorite; I've emasculated my already female-looking dog; and then gave his his masculinity back with the army gear lol)

......a teacher at my school gave me 1 day to get goals ready to send home to a parent TEN days in advance of our meeting. We normally do 3 days ahead of time, and this is one of my tougher parents. I'm annoyed that I have less time to get the goals perfect before this guy and his lawyer tear them all apart, just because. #dread

.....I've started my count down until the last day of school, and have been taking great pleasure in erasing each week on my dry erase calendar at work.  15 work days left!!! #imtotallycounting
{via} I hope this doesn't give you a seizure
.....I don't understand when people post 15+ hashtags on their photos. I get that it's to gain followers, but whenever I see that I want to unfollow people. Are you posting that picture because you like it, or because you think it'll get you 500 likes? Who freaking cares? And I only put hashtags on here to be funny #areyoulaughingyet
{via}
....the band practice next to my office is still super annoying. When I can hear the horns going at the front of the school, and my office is in the middle of the school, that tells you how loud they are. #makeitstop
{via}
....when MG and I realized that the creep(s) who got into his car on Monday night took an old GPS that we don't even use, but left the charger, I had to laugh. #youaintthatbrightareyou

......I hope Stephanie doesn't hate me for this post :)

What are you confessing, thinking or sharing today?

  2. That cracks me up about the thief not taking the charger! Too funny. I get nervous about reading books and when I don't like them, it makes me feel like I am missing something. Maybe I just have too high of expectations!

  9. Yay for brand new windows!!! We have floor to ceiling windows in the main part of the house and I love it! I love that you have them throughout! And love that Cooper was still long enough for you to put the filters on him--so cute!!!

  10. ha! Of course I don't hate you...I just would not have read it due to "confessions" in the title, but you directed me to it so you tricked me!

I love floor to ceiling windows but I imagine they're a total PITA to replace. I'd be happier in an air conditioned office too.

  12. Huge fan of the windows yall chose! So pretty. I am a HUGE fan of natural light. The one thing I hate about the house I live in now is the lack of natural light it gets. It's annoying. Thankfully my new apartment will have oodles of it! :)

I hear ya on the book recommendations. It's a tricky thing for sure! My most recent recommendation was very well received thank goodness! lol

  13. I DON'T understand the millions of hashtags thing. Sometimes, the hashtags don't even make sense on the photos they are on. Ugh. I try not to do more than 2-3 and they are usually ones I've come up with for my kids. And my IG is private so I'm definitely not looking for followers wit lh them. When people literally have 15-16? I mean, wth???

Glad your windows are finally in! Woohoo! And I always love your book recs! :)

  17. I always want my hubby home with repairs!! I was home once for our cable installation and the guy was like "you have that MD-something-or-other-cable?" Um. what? I know that makes me so stereotypical as a woman who has no idea what is going on... but for me it's true! I just want it taken care of and I get to come home to a completed project. :-) I love the Snap of Coop as a soldier!!!! So cute!!

  18. I love the filters with Cooper. So darling. Yay for countdowns!!! I would rather be in an air conditioned office than at home while windows were being put in. But those windows are going to be awesome in your house. They hold in the heat and keep it cool in the summer. Total win.

  19. I still can't believe it's June either!!!! SO crazy that we are already half way through 2016! Woo hoo for new windows!!!! Anything new for your house is exciting! I love playing with the snap chat filters on my in-laws dog! So much entertainment in one app lol.

  22. 15 days left! Yay!! I'm a BCBA, so I totally get how annoying it is when people throw things on you and expect you to get them done... then add difficult parents to the mix! Good luck girl!! xo, Kristina

  24. YESSSS to the hashtags. The only thing I really hashtag is infertility related stuff because it really has connected me with SO MANY other IVF warriors but other than that, #no.

  25. Hahaha, dying over the fact that someone stole the GPS, but is stuck with no charger! You're in the home stretch with school! Woohoo!

    ReplyDelete
  26. New windows are the best! And I love all of the hashtags you use hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  27. The hashtags are really the worst. And people try to be sly and put them in the first comment instead of the description, but NO! NO MA'AM! I see you!!! :)

  28. I love the snaps of Cooper - so funny! I just got snapchat and my daughter and I have been playing with the filters way too much! I'm sorry about the loud band practice, but just think, you're almost out for summer! yay!

  29. i can't be bothered with all the hashtags. and serious first world problem here but i can't get snapchat filters to work on my cats. so annoying haha.

  30. I feel the same way about recommending books! I worry so much the people I suggest them to won't like them! Haha.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Take that thief! I don't understand snachat at all but I am learning, that makes me feel old when I don't know how to use technology!

    ReplyDelete
  32. 15 days will be here before you know it - almost summer bound! I always feel the same way about any kind of recommendations - feel bad if someone doesn't like mine and feel bad if I don't like theirs!

  33. The book recommendation, I do let others know my thoughts, especially if they ask, "what did you think?" I mean, if you are asking, I'm going to tell ya. Hashtags, I better be sure I'm not putting that many! Actually the only time I do is when I'm promoting my daughter's boutique. It is a lot of work!

  34. As a fellow CF-SLP I can imagine how frustrating it felt to be given only one day to write goals for a tricky client! How inconsiderate!
