Weekending Highlights

Happy Monday and August! I'm officially in the last month of Summer vacation--where is the time going??
As you read this, MG and I are soaking up some beach time with the fam, but before that was a pretty low key, but fun weekend!
{via}
My weekend highlights included:

~Getting a 90 minute massage on Friday afternoon, plus a free lavender foot scrub because they booked my appointment incorrectly, so my massage was 30 minutes late. The whole thing was heavenly!
~Sushi dinner date night out (we tried Bonefish but there was an 80 minute wait--no thank you). The sushi was super yum!

~Had a quiet night in, and some Cooper snuggles (ok this was earlier in the day on Friday, but it's too cute not to share)

~Did some errands on Saturday morning in prep for our beach trip. Went in to Target for contact solution and sunscreen and ended up leaving with this, too (plus some other snack food stuff):
some new shades, and some insanely soft and comfy shirts!
~Stopped in Nordstrom Rack, at MG's request...and then he regretted it later when I walked out with 3 new Zella tops, and some Michael Kors flats (which are SUPER cute on, and insanely comfy!!) Be careful what you ask for, MG! (At least I was good during the NSale?)
~Stopped in at Macy's to see if we could find some new sheets and use up the last of our wedding gift cards (yes, 2.5 years later...it's ok). Found some 800 thread count pretty ones that work with our new comforter. Plus two cute initial coffee mugs. And we only owed $1.70 after the gift cards! #win
~Grabbed lunch at my favorite deli and then headed over to my friend's place who just had a double mastectomy. With cupcakes in tow, because cupcakes make everything better! She looked awesome and is doing SO well! We stayed for 2+ hours just chatting and catching up. So so thankful that her recovery is going so well!

~Packed for the beach!!! (Cooper watched, nervously, once the suitcases came out)

~Had the most delicious buffalo chicken wrap for dinner at an old favorite--probably not the best thing to eat before needing to be in a bathing suit but it was delicious!!
~Gave myself a mani in Essie's Blanc (just got it last week)--really liking the pure white color
~Up early Sunday morning for a doctor's appointment (my baseline appointment), then back to the house to pack up the car and head to the beach!

And the rest of Sunday was spent with the family! We went out to dinner for my MIL's birthday, too--the perfect way to spend our first night at the beach!

Hoping your weekend was fun-and sun-filled!

  4. Girl, you and my sister are the only people I know who can hold onto wedding gift cards! I used up all of mine within 3 months of the wedding haha! But now I'm wishing I still had some :) Enjoy your time at the beach!

  19. Hope you are having a great time at the beach! And dang, you're lucky that you have a hubs that would request to go to Nordstrom... mine avoids places like that like that plague when he's with me... he knows better. Lol.

  23. Target does that to me every single time!! They just have too many cute things and now there's one super close to my job so it might be slightly dangerous for my lunch breaks. lol The massage sounds heavenly! The Massage Envy in my area now does facials which I love from time to time...does your location offer them?
