WHW #57

Happy What's Hap-"Pinning" Wednesday friends!
It's been a little bit busy around these parts with the start of school (with kids), getting to see my kids from last year, and meet the new ones. And scheduling. Ugh! It is the bane of my existence, but I'm working to get a draft going so I can get to seeing my kids next week consistently (hopefully)

In addition to that, I've decided to start trying to only wash my hair once every other day since I've never been able to get away from washing it every day and I know it's not good for it. So far, I've done it twice, and it's been ok. Hoping my hair adjusts in the coming weeks! In the meantime, Living Proof dry shampoo has been my bestie :)
With that said, there's not a ton else going on here (and if there is, I'm too consumed by the start of the year to focus on it), so that's what's hap-"pinning" with me this week!
Before I go, I'll show you my back-to-school outfit from yesterday! It was the Loft dress that I got earlier this summer--perfect to throw on, be comfy and still look and feel put together (and to stay cool since it's now back in the 90s here again!)
Now it's your turn to link up with Jessi and I to share what's hap-"pinning" with you!

  1. That dress is super cute! I have been giving some thought to not washing my hair as much - it gets so greasy though, I don't know if I can do it!

  2. I sometimes skip washing my hair before school and use dry shampoo and I actually use the Suave kind from Walmart. It's only $3! My best friend has tried using so many different kinds and said she liked Suave the best so I've been using it too--no one can tell a difference when I skip a hair washing, and I find that my hair styles better too! It's hard to get used to in the beginning though!

  3. I commend you for trying to only wash your hair every other day!! I try that, and it only works when I'm not super active the day before. But I haven't tried a good dry shampoo...is the Living Proof one good? LOVE that dress!! Hope the rest of this week goes well :)

  9. I swear by dry shampoo. If I wash my hair every day it gets super dry and damaged but if I don't wash it enough it gets oily and limp so dry shampoo is my go-to! Love that Loft dress too, so pretty! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

  10. Good luck with school. Super cute outfit for the first day of school. I have been washing my hair every other day as well, it is an adjustment. I use the dry shampoo from Dry Bar, for my thin fine hair, it works really well.

  14. I wish I could get away with washing my hair every other day! I'm so jealous of people who can do that! Like my own mother, for example... why couldn't I have gotten her hair genes instead of my dad's??

  15. I know what you mean about the weather! It was in the 70s over the weekend and it was back up to 93 yesterday! I hope you school year has gotten off to a great start!

  17. I'm definitely all for washing my hair every other day, I realized how much it was killing my hair to wash it everyday.

  18. Your hair will absolutely adjust. I thought mine never would. Now I go three or four days without washing it.

Love your back to school outfit!

  19. I can basically go every other day w/out washing but I still always feel so oily on day 2... but its better than it used to be. In high school I washed it DAILY! I need to find a good dry shampoo!

  21. Good luck with the hair experiment. I have transitioned my hair to once a week, takes time to adjust but worth all the dry shampoo!

  22. It always takes us a few weeks to get the schedule down!
    Love the dress.
I wash my hair maybe two or three times a week. I condition it almost every day though.
