Happy Monday and October! I have very few pictures of this weekend because 1) I didn't do a whole lot and 2) I was lazy lol
My highlights this weekend included:
~Wore my new Converse sneaks that I got this summer--so comfy!--on Sports Day at school
~Friday girlfriend dinner date with my girl Wendy--we used to work at the same school, but now we don't so getting to meet and catch up is always nice! Plus we had buffalo chicken wraps at a local favorite spot so it was extra good!
~Saturday morning I knocked out a workout at home, and then the rest of it was pretty much spent reading and snuggling with Coop since the weather was rainy and gross

~Saturday afternoon MG arrived back from his travels. Coop and I were both excited to see him. One of us had tail wiggles upon his arrival. I'll let you guess which one :)
~Went out to grab Mexican for dinner as MG was craving it. I was more than happy to oblige, and so was my stomach :)
~Had a low key night in since MG was suffering some jet lag pretty bad
~Sunday morning errands and meal prep for the week
~MG decided to order Redzone so there was lots of football watching going on in the house while Fall candles were being burned :)
~Went for a 3 mile walk around the lake by our house since the weather finally cleared up and the sun decided to make an appearance after being absent for the last 4-5 days. Felt good to get out and get in some exercise.
~More football and reading
~Thai food for dinner because I didn't feel like cooking and then we watched SNL from the night before and Real Housewives before bed!
As you can see, it was very low key (and low pictures), but I'm totally ok with that since we'll be gone next weekend. How was your weekend?

My weekend was pretty low-key, too. Sometimes those are just what is needed!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect weekend to me! Glad you and MG got a nice little date night out despite his jet lag and hopefully you get to keep him home for awhile! Love your new Converse too!! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteLow-key weekends are my favorite! I feel like I need them in order to recoup from the crazy week before!

I sort of feel good when it rains because I don't feel guilty about not doing anything and being comfy at home!! Way to go with the workouts this weekend girl!! Happy Monday! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounds kind of similar to mine, Mexican food, football and rain. Sometimes those rainy weekends are best! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI love a low-key weekend. And we order thai many a nights I don't feel like cooking. Have a great Monday!

Low key, but perfect weekend! Glad MG's flight FINALLY arrived! Have a great week!! ~R
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect low-key weekend. We had such a busy weekend I didn't get a single nap in... gasp! Xo
ReplyDeleteSounds fun! Love your converse.

Sounds like the perfect low-key weekend! Sometimes those are just what the soul needs. I also have a pair of those converse sneaks, and no matter how often I wear them, they kill my feet! I've probably worn them 50 times and I still get blisters.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you cannot beat the low key weekend. I'm glad your man is back!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend! Glad to hear the hubs made it home safely and you got some QT this weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect weekend! I love those Converses (I have almost the same ones!), and we are obsessed with Redzone. It's so perfect for those early games when the networks are inevitably showing a game no one cares about ;)
ReplyDeleteMeg, Borrowed Heaven
Low key weekends are always necessary to make us appreciate the fun of other ones! So glad you got the hubs back and you could spend some qt together
ReplyDeleteSounds like a pretty perfect weekend! Work friends are the best. I miss doing happy hour with my teacher friends so much. I hope you have a fantastic week!
ReplyDeleteLow key weekends are the best weekends! Ours was the exact opposite this past weekend, and while it was an absolutely wonderful one, it felt like I blinked and it was gone. I swear it felt like 24 hours instead of 48. And here we are, back at Monday. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteYay for husbands being home and Mexican food! (And fall candles; my fave!! )
ReplyDeleteLove your new kicks! Yeah for your hubby being back home and sometimes those low key weekends are really the best!
ReplyDeleteSounds absolutely perfect! I hope you have a great week friend!
ReplyDeleteLove the new shoes! Perfect for cute, casual looks!
ReplyDeleteMmmm to thai food! Sounds so good. And we had rain ALL WEEK last week, too - it gets so depressing after a few days!
ReplyDeleteLow key weekends are the best! Your meals sound delicious and I'm happy you guys got some sun - it finally popped out here today!
ReplyDeleteI love Thai food. I was painting all day yesterday and was too tired to cook, so I opted for a salad instead. I wish it was Thai. Sounds like a nice and cozy weekend in!
ReplyDeleteLoving the converse!!! They are my go to shoe!
ReplyDeleteYou know I love weekends like this! They are so needed in between all the hustle and bustle of life. I love when rainy weekends give you a reason to stay home and relax plus Thai food sounds like the best way to end the weekend!
ReplyDeleteThose "reading and snuggling" days can be very nice. I am craving Mexican food now. Badly.
ReplyDeleteThe perfect low key weekend, mostly with those buffalo chicken wraps ;)
ReplyDeleteConverse are the best!! :)
