Friend Weekending

Happy Monday, friends! Mine was jam-packed with friend time and I loved it!

My weekend highlights included:

~Flannel Friday at work, and taking pics with some of my lady friends
~Getting home from work to a sweet package from Jessi! Love my blog friends!
~Had a double date with my friend Kelly and Alex in Old Town. We ended up being there for more than 3 hours, chatting and laughing! Love nights like that!

~Saturday Cooper went to the groomer and came out looking adorable and oh so fluffy. I can't get enough of his sweet little face!
~MG and I went to Buy Buy Baby to start to get an idea of things....and left completely overwhelmed haha. Thankfully I have friends like Brittany who talk me out of my overwhelmed-ness and give me lots of good recommendations!
~Went for a 3+ mile walk since the weather was nice, and realized that my bump doesn't look like a bump in my Zella leggings, but oh well. Gotta get that exercise in!

~Showered and got ready to have dinner with our other friends Kurt and Meres at Rustico (parmesan risotto tots and pizza!) before heading to see Doctor Strange!
It was good, but definitely not the standard Avengers-type movie.

~Went to bed and woke up the same time I normally would, but it was an hour earlier because of DST ending, but my body didn't realize that lol

~Ran errands and then headed back out to meet up with my two SLP girl friends for coffee. And just like that, another 2 hours flew by!
~Headed to our friends' house for the Giants/Eagles game and indulged in buffalo chicken dip and yummy meatballs. Not quite the same when accompanied by water instead of beer but it was fun to see everyone and hear all the congrats about our pregnancy.

~Sadly, it was already getting dark by the time the game ended around 4:45, so we hung out for a bit more and then headed home

~Spent the rest of the night relaxing and getting in some Cooper cuddles

~We had the doors open both days this weekend because the weather was so nice...and of course, we had our neighborhood watch dog on the look out :)

All in all, it really was a jam-packed friend weekend which was awesome! I didn't take a ton of pics, but I was also just enjoying the time we had with our people :)

Before I go, I wanted to give my bestie a shout out for her birthday which was yesterday! Love you to pieces, Genna!!! And I miss you bunches!!

Hope your weekend was a friend-filled as ours was!

  4. I really can't stand it getting so dark because of DST but I did enjoy the extra hour this weekend :) I'm sure it was overwhelming to start thinking about things to buy for the baby! But I'm glad you have people to help you out--that makes it a bit easier. Have a great Monday!!

  9. Sounds like it was a great weekend. I'm so sad that DST has ended. It's so depressing when it gets dark by 5pm.

  11. What a perfect weekend! The baby sections are TOTALLY overwhelming but at least you can use Bed Bath and Beyond coupons at Buy Buy Baby! 20% off helps! :)

  12. Yay for all the flannel and the baby shopping! Seriously baby stuff can become so overwhelming, but you'll figure it all out soon enough. We took tips from everyone and then ended up getting only the things we thought were essential since we're working with a small space! I'm so glad you had a nice weekend, sweet friend. xoxo

  13. That Cooper is too cute!!! Question - The quilted jacket you are wearing in the flannel shirt picture - Where is that from? Being looking for a jacket like that!

  14. That flannel day looks fun, and look how handsome Cooper is with a fresh cut! Such a sweet surprise from Jessi, and don't worry we were completely overwhelmed on our first few visits to Babies R Us. What I liked was registering in store with a list, and then being able to go back online and adjust things according to needs and preference changes over time. Cheers to a fabulous week <3

  17. Yay for blogging friends and your cross. I love it. Sounds like a fun filled weekend. I hate that time when you are pregnant, but your bump isn't round enough yet. Cooper looks adorable after his grooming appointment!

  18. Looking at baby stuff is definitely overwhelming, but such a fun experience as well.

  19. Aw love that cross! I was always overwhelmed too when I went into baby stores, and I found making a list prior to going was super helpful. Otherwise, I'd end up buying things that I didn't necessarily need for the baby. Good luck, it's such a fun time picking out everything! :)

  20. Yay for awesome bloggy friends, Jessi really is such a sweetheart! Not the same watching football games with water instead of beer, but it's all worth it :)! Glad you got to spend time with friends, sometimes the ones with the least amount of pictures end up being the best kind of weekend!

  21. Don't let the big box stores like Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us overwhelm you! They honestly will tell you that you need like 300 items (or more), which is absolutely ridiculous. Talk to fellow mamas and go in with a list and a plan when you are ready to make your registry, and don't let them sway you. You know I'm here for you, and am willing to be as much help as possible! Love you!

  22. I love weekends like this - low key hanging out with friends. Sounds like you had a blast!

  23. Looking for baby stuff is so overwhelming!! I found Buy Buy Baby to have way better stuff that Babies R Us plus you can use Bed Bath and Beyond coupons at Buy Buy Baby!! Those 20% off ones they always send in the mail are a huge help on big items. My number one item was and still is the Munchkin Arm and Hammer Diaper Bag Dispenser and Bags! I never would have thought of them myself but someone got them for me and I take them everywhere!! You can throw a stinky diaper in them and you smell nothing from it, they are fantastic!!

  24. Good luck with the registering and all the opinions on what you should get! Sounds like a great friend weekend, those are the best. Hear you on the time change, the darkness is no fun and I did not get my extra hour of sleep!

  25. Cooper is cute. He is clearly in "serious business" mode in that last picture.

  26. I was EIGHT months pregnant on my first Buy-buy-baby trip and still left so overwhelmed haha. There are just SO many choices!

  27. The Buy Buy Baby run - so exciting! Cooper is cute as always and the weather was so nice this weekend!

  28. Love that y'all had flannel Friday, so cute!! Cooper is looking so, so cute! After we gave Reagan her first bath she was sooo fluffy, and I can't wait until she's old enough to get groomed for the first time lol! Glad y'all had a great weekend!

  29. OMG isn't Buy Buy Baby so overwhelming?!? I literally thought we would be there for an hour max registering and we ended up staying 3+ hours and still didn't do everything we needed to do. So much stuff!
