Uplifting Joys

Before the rest of my post, I want to give a huge shout out and take a moment to thank all of the veterans out there! My dad, uncle and grandfather were all vets and I know that without your service and sacrifice (and that of current military members), we would not be where we are today in our country without you. You are appreciated!

In the days after the election, when we're all feeling a little shell-shocked from this whole process, I wanted to focus on some positives, stress-reducing things.

I'm thankful for the roof over my head, and for the man I share my home with. For finding him at the right time in my life that I could truly appreciate him. I'm thankful for this baby who is growing inside of me, every day. I'm thankful for the love and support I get from my family, especially my mom. I'm glad that I have a wealth of friends who are kind and caring. I'm thankful for signs from my Dad that he's still here, watching over us.
This is just the start of a long list of things and people I'm thankful for. I'm choosing positivity and to focus on love.
I hope you will, too.

  4. A good lesson for any day of the week.
I have a 30-day gratitude journal (found online) for November, so I'm certainly trying to focus on the positive :)

  14. Great way to spread some positivity in a week where many people feel lost or confused. Talking about your joys is definitely one good way to break the shell.
