As usual, I have some random stuff circling around my brain...
~it feels weird calling up and looking into daycare centers before we've even picked out a crib yet #yearlongwaitlists

~I tried my hardest to get the OB at my appointment last Tuesday to ask for an ultrasound so we could find out the gender before Thanksgiving. She was nice about it, but the answer was still a "no" because there wasn't a "medical reason" for it. I tried explaining that if I didn't find out, I'd go "medically insane" but apparently that's not part of the DSM IV #showmethegender

~I had a crazy parent meeting scheduled for Friday, which is also MG's birthday. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't dreading it since we got back from Thanksgiving, and then it got cancelled. Which only feels like a stay of execution at this point since it will be rescheduled. #temporaryrelief

~How is it already December? #timeisflying
~One of the nurses at my practice told me I should be drinking 130 oz of water a day. To which I almost peed myself. Maybe because I always need to pee, but also because the thought of MORE liquids in my body just overwhelmed my bladder. #cantstopwontstoppeeing

~I used my "flex days" this week to make up therapy for a couple of groups I'd missed this past month due to meetings, etc. And then today there's a chorus concert during the time of two of the groups I made up for November. I can never get ahead. #itried
~When I get messages about using "infographics" that someone has designed, about a topic I never write about, nor would I write about, it annoys me. Same with posts about dumb topics. Whenever I email these people back with what I charge for that, they always so "oh, this isn't something we would pay for". Well, if I'm not writing about it currently, I'm not going to write about it simply because you asked me to. #leavemealone

~I spent a lot of money during the online sales this past weekend. Like, a lot. And only about 1/3 of it was for others. #oops #mamaneedsmaternityclothes
What's on your mind this week?
Ha love your reason for needing that ultrasound! Too bad it wasn't a valid reason for your OB! And wow, year long wait lists at a daycare?! Is this like a preschool program too?

I spent quite a bit on myself over the weekend, too. Just so many good deals!!!
ReplyDeleteHahah the ultrasound reasoning is awesome. It seems justifiable to me! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's already December, this year has been flying. And love that you tried to tell your doctor you'd go medically insane if you didn't find out! Hey, you don't know if you don't try, right?! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteCan't wait until you guys find out the gender!!
ReplyDeleteYes, thank you I'm not writing about something just because you asked! Also, they are normally weird and don't go along with your blog anyways! I even got these when I wasn't blogging on even a semi regular schedule! They just annoy me! hahaha
ReplyDeleteBest reason for them to give you an ultrasound!
I can't believe they wouldn't do an ultrasound! You should have told her that she ruined your Thanksgiving ;) Ah swell, more excitement for Christmas! :) XOXO, R
ReplyDeleteI totally spoiled myself this past weekend with the online shopping, but it's all stuff that's necessary so that's ok right? Oh man I can only imagine being the same way when I'm pregnant and not knowing the gender, it would drive me clinically insane since I'm not the biggest fan of surprises and need to plan everything out! Ugh I hate getting those emails asking to write a post about this and that using this image or infographic...no thanks!
ReplyDeleteI drink 90-100 oz a day, anymore and I'd be peeing myself. Godspeed.
ReplyDeleteLOLOL @ mentally insane. Good try. When will you be able to find out?
Omg a year long wait list? That's just in sane! I hope you can find out the gender soon. I'd imagine the wait is definitely driving you nuts. I had a friend who didn't find out the gender of her first until he was born. I couldn't do that!

I feel you on the non-sponsored posts. I have been getting a lot of them and if I am not writing about it currently, I need money in order for me to work it into my blog. And I need to be in support, like or would like to try said product. Annoying for sure. That is awesome that the meeting got cancelled and let's just hope that it doesn't get rescheduled. I bought a lot of stuff on Cyber Monday for myself too. Yikes. My wallet hates me right now. But I can't wait to wear my stuff. Hope you have a wonderful day!
ReplyDelete130oz?? say what? That sounds like craziness!!
ReplyDeleteyear long wait list?? jeepers.
ReplyDeleteand wow.. that's a lot of water! i have no idea how much i actually drink.
yeah i always say no to those posts. even if they did pay me, i don't want it on my blog lol
girl i remember the daycare hunt... it sucked and was hard and we had year wait lists too... UGH. Yay for almost genre time. Sorry I have been MIA. I miss you and love you!
ReplyDeleteWe found out the gender at 15 weeks because we opted to pay for our own ultrasound. So worth it haha.

ReplyDeleteAlso, if you told me you would go "medically insane," I would've told you the baby gender! Haha.
I am seriously dying to know whether baby is boy or girl!!! When is your ultrasound?!?
ReplyDeleteIt seems like there has been a rush on these people emailing about posting lately! How much longer until you get to find out the sex?
