For this week's What's Hap-"Pinning", I'm talking about finding out the baby's gender!
don't mind our tree slightly leaning--it's been fixed since haha |
In addition to that, we'll also get to find out the gender. We had planned to do a reveal with our family, and might still do that...but we might find out before hand because I'm not sure either of us can wait for another 2 weeks!
Since we've gotten pregnant, people have told us their thoughts on boy versus girl and it overwhelmingly seems like people think girl. I, myself, have felt like it was a girl from the beginning without any real reason why. So I thought I'd share some old wive's tales and then see what you guys think: Blue or Pink?
Baby's heartbeat: over 140 bpm (girl)
Moodiness: no more than usual (boy)
Morning Sickness: None (boy)
Acne while pregnant: Yes (girl)
Cravings: sweet, more than usual (girl)
Chinese Gender Chart: boy
Dream of the sex of the baby/means the opposite sex of what you dreamed: only one so far, and it was a boy (girl)
Clumsy/Graceful: I guess I'd say I've had a few more clumsy moments than normal, usually trying to get dressed lol (boy)
Dad gaining weight? No (boy)
Headaches: Yes (boy)
Feet colder now? No (girl)
What the mom thinks: girl
Baby Names: when you can only think of/agree only on gender of names: girl
Side you prefer to rest on: left (boy)
The ring test: back and forth (girl)
So basically, it's really close, with girl coming out ahead just a smidge.
Now I want to know what you guys think? Blue or Pink??
Blue or Pink
Link up with Jessi and I below to share what's hap-"pinning" with you!
I voted boy, but honestly I'm always wrong LOL!! Praying for a healthy baby and an exciting day on Friday for you! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't pay attention to any of those. I had major morning sickness with my son, so I don't think that one is true at all. I can't wait to find out what you are having and I pray that everything looks perfect! Good luck!

I say boy, but then again, I always vote boy!! (Although I found the Chinese Gender Chart to be accurate both times for me!) Can't wait to hear the great news and just praying sweet baby G is healthy and thriving! xoxox
ReplyDeleteI voted girl. But I swore I'd have girls and here I am with 2 boys! Whoever it is he or she will be perfect for you!
ReplyDeleteOh man, that is so close! I voted girl because I feel like everyone is having girl's lately but I feel like I am always wrong! I can't wait to find out what you're having and of course praying for a healthy baby! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

Oh my heavens I cannot believe y'all will know so soon! Nothing is more exciting than this and being able to call that sweet babe by his or her name - I voted boy but I'm already rethinking that hahaha
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the reveal - I don't think I would be able to wait an additional 2 weeks before finding out with your friends and family, either!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I think gender reveal parties are so fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm voting girl!!! You look adorable!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting!!! Can't wait to hear :)

I voted girl1
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! Wishing for a great ultrasound showing a healthy, happy baby - boy or girl!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you guys to find out what you are having. I am team pink, but as long as baby is healthy, I am good with that!!!
ReplyDeleteI voted boy!! Just because my baby boy's HB was mostly always over 140 if I remember correctly. haha
ReplyDeleteI am sure the suspense is killing you. I can't wait to hear!
ReplyDeletePrayers for a healthy ultrasound! Our anatomy scan is one of my favorite memories so far in my pregnancy, not only because our girl got a clean bill of health, but it was the first time that my husband had a chance to really see that a baby is on the way - he may have said "That's crazy!" one or ten times as the tech talked us through what we were seeing and how much Little Miss was moving around. Enjoy every second of it!
ReplyDeleteAlso, for what it's worth, we found out the baby's sex a few weeks before we shared with the rest of our family, and I would HIGHLY recommend it. I knew that I would be emotional either way, so it was nice and comforting to have that private moment with my husband, and to have that special secret just between us for a few weeks :)
SO SOON!!!! How exciting! I'm thinking boy!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting!! I had every symptom possible that made me think we were having a boy haha I was wrong.
ReplyDeleteGotta go GIRL! You look great and that baby bump is seriously the cutest!!
ReplyDeletecan't wait to find out! so exciting! i had to laugh at the dad gaining weight meaning it's a boy. hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI'm voting for a boy, but the heartbeat test is rarely wrong, so it's looking like it's a girl! I can't wait to hear! And either way I know you guys will be so thankful!
ReplyDeleteI voted girl! Can't wait to find out if I'm right soon! <3
ReplyDeleteI bet it's a girl if the ring test says so!! Can't wait to find out too!
ReplyDeleteSarah at MeetTheShaneyfelts
I went with girl - which seems to be the one winning at the moment!! :)

ReplyDeleteI'm going with boy... just because I like pulling for the "underdog" :)
ReplyDeleteCan't believe I missed this post yesterday! So cute-- all old wives tales but they're right 50% of the time I guess! SO EXCITED for Friday!!!!
ReplyDeleteI voted blue simply because that's all I know (with two boys!) Regardless your baby will be oh so precious, I'm sure! :)
ReplyDeleteYou know I think she's a little girl!!!
ReplyDeleteSo great to hear no morning sickness! Seems like my vote for the baby being a girl is winning in the poll but either way, it's just exciting to have your first born!
