Happy Monday!
I'm coming at you from another day off of work/school because we are suppose to get freezing rain this afternoon during the kids' commute home. As my friend said "I love snow days, when there isn't any snow" haha.
One way or another I'm gonna need to get out of the house with Ella today--we are getting a little stir crazy in here since it's been SO cold (temps in negatives with wind chill).
Our weekend wasn't too exciting, but it's basically been since Thursday. Lots of playing at home with Ella, watching tv/movies, reading (I finished my book on Friday and started another one!) drinking wine, and snuggles with our bear in cozy clothes...

On Saturday we were supposed to go to my principal's house for an after holidays party, but I had a migraine and ended up skipping it.
Our big outing was to the mall this weekend, and it seemed like us and everyone else had the same idea to get out of the house because it was PACKED!!
We tried zuppa toscana in the Instant Pot last night and it was reeeeeally tasty!
Oh, and if you follow me on Snapchat, you probably saw that Ella has started clapping now which is super adorable!
So, yeah, the weekend was pretty low key, and light on the pictures. Hoping your weekend was warm and cozy!
I'm so ready for the temperature to go back to normal and all of the snow/ice to melt! I have been going stir crazy stuck in the house also. Our students are out of school today again also but teachers can return for an optional workday with a two hour delay.. not a bad way to start the week! Stay warm!

ReplyDeleteThat bum...SO cute! It's been so cold here, too. We hit a high of -18 yesterday, and it was just miserable! Today's 24 is practically balmy! Hope you're staying warm!
ReplyDeleteOh that little tush! So cute. It's been so cold here. I went out to run a few errands on Saturday and couldn't take it. The windchill was just too much. I could barely walk to the car to the front of the store. Stay warm my friend.
ReplyDeleteTHOSE PANTS!!!!! We had to escape on Saturday- two solid days stuck inside was too much! Be careful out there! Lots of layers and preemptive aquaphor on Ella's cheeks to avoid chapping! J & S both have red chapped cheeks from the cold! :( XOXO, R

I am with you! I am SO ready for these negative temps to come up. When I checked the weather.com app on my phone Saturday evening the feels like temp was -42 degrees. I am over it! ha!

So many snow days all around so far- it's been a brutal winter! yay for clapping, that must be cute! Bella just started smiling and it's so fun. Boo for migraines- I just finished a book and started a new one too over the weekend- i love reading!

ReplyDeleteThose pants are hilarious!!!! Love it! And I'm so jealous of you right now! North AL had delays Thursday and Friday because of the super low temps.....every school system but mine. No joke. And then today the eastern side of the state either canceled or delayed because of the freezing rain and we were on the line with temps at 34 so nothing for us either :( Enjoy your extra time with Ella!!!
