My Newest Girl-Crush

So, I have to admit it.
I have a new girl-crush and her name is Jennifer Lawrence.

Not only is she a model/actress (and a darn good one at that), I think she looks like a normal person, and more importantly, she doesn't act like a pompous jerk-face like so many celebs do. She seems so down-to-earth and just normal!

I was shocked when I saw that she's only 22--I know a ton of people who aren't nearly as mature as she seems to be.

Most recently she was interviewed in Vanity Fair where she said the following:
Not to sound rude, but [acting] is stupid... Everybody’s like, 'How can you remain with a level head?' And I’m like, 'Why would I ever get cocky? I’m not saving anybody’s life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I’m making movies. It’s stupid.'

I love that she doesn't take herself too seriously, or let anyone else make her lose her grip on reality.
Amen.

I love that she speaks her mind. She's a bad-@ss chick, exudes confidence, and isn't a rail-thin stick like
 so many chicas in Hollywood.

We need more strong ladies like this to be good models of what a strong woman looks like.

I think she's awesome.

  1. I love her! She really is such a good role model for younger people (or even older ones) to look up to. I think we can all agree Hollywood is seriously lacking in that department, so JL is definitely a refreshing change!

  2. So, I just saw The Hunger Games (I know) and realized how great of an actress she was. So, naturally I Googled her and saw a bunch of interviews she's done. I totally agree. She seems very down-to-earth and normal! I can't wait to see what she does even beyond THG trilogy. :)
