I'm posting on a Saturday, and I typically don't post on weekends, but I'm trying to stick to this blogging every day in May thing, so here goes.
Today's topic is an easy one for me:
Day 4, Saturday: Favorite quote (from a person, from a book, etc) and why you love it
My favorite quote is one that I absolutely truly believe in....
"Everything happens for a reason"
It sounds SO cliche, but in my life, I've realized that nothing else is truer. The people who come in (and out) of your life, are there for a reason. The jobs you have and the heart breaks we face, all happen for a reason. You might not understand it right away, and it might not be what you want, but it's all because you're going on your path to where you're supposed to be. When you make the same choices over and over again, and you get the same result...you ask yourself, "why does this keep happening to me?" And I can tell you, the answer is: "because you haven't learned the lesson yet"...whatever that lesson is.

Life is about learning and growing, and I think everything happens to help us on our paths to becoming the people we are meant to be. It's up to us to make that happen and get there.
I seriously believe in the "everything happens for a reason". Sometimes we don't understand the reason for a while...sometimes we never do...but everything DOES happen for a reason!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you and comment above

ReplyDeleteI find myself saying "Everything happens for a reason" at least once a day!
ReplyDeleteHey Jenn,
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog through the Blog Every Day in May Challenge.
I definitely agree with this quote. The older I get, the more I see how everything makes sense on a grander scale than just us. The quote I chose for today's challenge sort of speaks to that as well, but in a different way. :) Anyway, I definitely also agree with the "lessons" quote, too -- life is here to teach us!

Both of these are great quotes :)!
