I can't believe the weekend is already over! This one was packed with AMAZINGLY delicious weather (yes, I just likened the weather to a tasty treat), and lots of good times with friends!
I was a bad blogger and only took a few pics this weekend, but you'll live! :)
MG was out of town this weekend on his annual guys' golf trip, so Friday night my friend came over to the house after dinner and we talked, drank wine and ate cheese (so fancy!), watched chick flicks and hung out until about 2am before we decided it was time to go to bed.
(You'll be happy to know that we survived Friday the 13th with a full moon. No werewolves or Freddy Kreugers came and tried to murder us.)
Unfortunately my body doesn't allow me to sleep in anymore, and this wasn't helped by the fact that MG forgot to turn off his alarm Friday morning so I got a horrible nice awakening at 6:20 in the morning. Luckily I slept for about another hour before I couldn't sleep anymore. Cooper and I made our way downstairs and cuddled on the couch, drinking coffee (ok, Cooper wasn't drinking coffee) and enjoyed being in the house, relaxing, for the first time since last weekend.
My friend made her way downstairs and joined us in the coffee drinking. Cooper was eagerly awaiting her arrival downstairs:
I had to get ready for book club and she had other errands to run so we begrudgingly got off of the couch and ready for the day ahead.
Book club was nice--it's with the girls from MG's group of friends, and I haven't seen most of them since the wedding drama couple's wedding. Of course, I ended up sitting next to the chick in the wedding drama couple....figures. It was actually a really nice time tho.
I made my way home and did a little laundry and cleaning around the house, with the doors open since it was SO nice out. And then around 6:30, 3 friends came over to have pizza, drink wine, see the house, and just hang out. The weather was PERFECT, so we sat outside on the deck for the majority of the night. One friend left around 11, and the other two stayed until 2am.
After lots of laughs and good convo, and several bottles of wine later, we called it a night.
And again, I was up at 7:30 (damn you, body!) but spent a good amount of the morning sitting on my butt on the couch.
My friend, who I had just hung out with at book club and my house that same night, invited me over to her pool around 1. So I decided that if I was going to sit on my butt, it may as well be outside, enjoying the weather and soaking up the sun.
3 hours later, we called it quits when a bee landed on my foot and decided that he liked it just fine there and didn't want to move (until we splashed him with water).
I made my way back home and MG had gotten home from his trip. We went out and got dinner, and then ran our errands for the week. We both called our dads and wished them Happy Father's Day.
Another shout out goes out to my father-in-law who is one of the most generous people I've ever met in my entire life. You're full of knowledge (especially about house-related things, which I am SO thankful for) and you're an overall kind spirit. I'm very lucky that I inherited you--I couldn't have asked for a better father-in-law!
Not to mention, you're a great dancer, too! :)

And even though my dad doesn't read this blog, I want to take a moment and say this:
You are the best dad a girl could ask for. You've been there for me through my entire life. Mom always says that having me brightened your life, but having you as my dad has made mine complete. I'm so thankful that I have you in my life...for advice, comfort, help with questions like "my car just died, what do I do??" and for just being my dad. I wouldn't be who I am, or where I am, without you. I love you!

I hope you had a great weekend!
