Phew! This week was wayyyyyyy better than last week, and Friday got here a lot faster, thank goodness. The majority of the week was without physical abuses, until yesterday when I was scratched, kicked, punched, and bit all by the same child at work. I still consider the rest of the week a win overall tho, so let's focus on the positives.
I've got some favorites this week tho (which don't include scratches and bite marks lol)
I love working half days because it allows me to meet up with friends for lunch--something that I don't get to do during the school year. Yesterday I was lucky enough to meet up with Christy for a little lunchtime blate at a new-to-us restaurant which was delicious! We decided we need to have another double-blate soon with our men at this place.
I heart this girl and all the time we get to spend together.

{2}-Being Outside
The weather this week has been so pleasant! The humidity has been low to nonexistent, and the temps have been in the low 80s with some beautiful sunshine. Yesterday I drove around with my sunroof open and my windows down, and after my lunch blate, I spent part of the afternoon on our deck reading in one of our lounge chairs. I even took a little outside nap there as well because it was so peaceful and comfortable out. I love days that I can spend outside without sweating to death, and I'm so thankful that this week has brought with it some beautiful weather for us to enjoy!
{3}-Bread and Wine (a book)
Speaking of reading, I'm in love with this book, Bread and Wine. The writing is so wonderful and I've connected to the author so much while reading each of her short stories/chapters. I'm relishing reading this book and am sad that I'm over half way done. This book has been a treat for me to read.

ReplyDeleteWhen somebody has said something twice and I still don't understand (not to sound racist, but as a cashier, I often had trouble understanding people from India and older black men), I often smile and hope it will be appropriate. I have gotten a couple of nasty looks before.
