Time is flying! I can't believe that the 4th of July has come and gone already.
It was an eventful weekend for us!
My weekend highlights included:
~Driving up to Philly on Thursday afternoon
~Finding out my FIL was in the hospital due to a blockage in his intestines which prompted a visit to the hospital to see him once we got to Philly
~Finding out, while at the hospital, that MG's great aunt was also in the same hospital
~Had a mini family reunion with all of the relatives who came by to see her and my FIL
~Had a late night dinner with MG and my MIL after our unexpected trip to the hospital and tried a delicious peach cider I'd never had before

~Took the kids to NJ to visit with my other SIL, her husband, and their kids. Someone didn't want us to leave tho:
(believe it or not, he is still a puppy...despite being the size of a small horse lol) |
~Watched the kids ride in the parade
~Played hide and go seek and tag on the playground with all of the kids--so much fun (altho I kept getting spotted because all the kids wanted to hide with me lol)
~Watched the fireworks with all of the kids, my SIL and BIL, and his parents. Swooned watching my niece lay on MG as they watched the fireworks together
~Spent some more time with the family before heading back to Philly
~My FIL came back from the hospital 4th of July in the morning and we spent the day at my SIL's house, grilling out, drinking yummy drinks--peach bellinis--(now that I'm rehashing everything I realized I had a weekend filled with peach drinks haha), and watching more fireworks
~Ended the night around the fire pit with lots of laughter
~Drove home on Sunday and hit zero traffic--win!
~Ran errands, and installed the mirror in the guest bathroom
~Rescued a lost dog who we saw running down a 3 lane busy road by our house on our way to pick up dinner. Luckily got traffic stopped as the dog was running into on-coming traffic and I scooped him up.
~We found the owners and got him back home! Said a prayer of thanks that we were in the right place at the right time!
~Had Thai for dinner (and leftovers for lunch today!!)
~Cheered for the US Women's Soccer team victory! #goUSA

~Got to FaceTime with MG's best friend after he got engaged to his girlfriend. We were part of the ruse to throw her off track and were waiting all evening until we heard the big news--so excited for them!!!
~Relaxed the rest of the night from a super busy and fun weekend
And today is the first day at work with the kids at summer school. Wish me luck!!!
