What's Hap-"Pinning"? Wednesday {#2}

Happy Wednesday!!!
Ever since last Wednesday I've been super excited for this week because everyone had such great posts for What's Hap-"Pinning"? Wednesday, and I can't wait to see what you guys are up to this week! (Remember, you can link up about anything that you're up to!)
This is what's been Hap-Pinning with me lately:

Since the Nordstrom sale, I've been trying to be much better about not splurging and purchasing things that I don't "need". And, of course, I'm finding a ton of stuff that I want...and find myself trying to figure out how I "need" them (but I'm being good!)
These are some of the things on my Want List:
How cute are those watermelon iPhone cases?? They totally say "summer" to me!
I'm in love with all of those stud earrings and could see myself wearing almost every one of them.
And that skirt. So cute and flowy. Love.

And while I'm on a self-imposed spending freeze "conscious coupling" with my money, I've been finding a bunch of home decor ideas that I want to do myself or buy, like these:
I've totally been on the lookout for a dresser to paint and put into one of our guest rooms, just like this one, and add some pretty knobs.
The owl planter-turned-kitchen-spoon holder is so freaking cute, I want it!
Love the chalk paint on these chairs and the pattern of the fabric. Would love to attempt a diy project like this for a dining room.
Jillian Harris has such great styling of rooms--I would totally put this nightstand arrangement to use!

After going to Chicago and having some of the most delicious food EVER, I've been drooling over food pins. I mean, how good do these look??

Now I need to go clean up the drool that's all over my computer after looking at those yummy foods, but before I go, here's a great quote I found on Pinterest:

Now, show Jessi and I what's hap-"pinning" with you!

  3. I love the owl. You can probably find an inexpensive one and paint it. For the dresser you'll probably have to troll Craigslist or visit a flea market or a thrift store but that's cute too! Trish - tales from trish

I laughed when I read about how you're trying to only buy what you need ...and then trying to figure out why you "need" your wants! ;) Been there, friend! lol :) Those phone cases are too cute, and I adore the skirt!! 12. I've been trying to limit my spending lately too, it's so hard - especially with all the back to school specials! Ha, I need a good excuse to take a little shopping day.

  13. Those phone cases though!! I hate mine (just had to grab what the store had since we were going to Mexico and I knew I wouldn't find one before we left, but definitely needed a case) so I'm on the hunt for the perfect case. Those are ADORABLE and I think Mia would freak over them, ha ha!

  15. I too have been trying to not shop as much. Happy to report that I'm doing quite well. Although, it is tax free weekend this Saturday and Sunday. I keep telling myself I don't need anything but the thought of not having to pay the sales tax is like a sale in itself. lol.

  17. I love those watermelon phone cases! They remind me of my summer because all I was eating was watermelons ha!
I love that dresser ugh loving all your house inspiration girl. Last year I attempted my own DIY dresser, I found it in someones yard and they were giving it away for free so with a lick of white paint and some new knobs it was good as new and I spent around £20 in total.
