#GiveGrace

Meghan over at Champagne and Suburbs  sent me a beautiful piece of mail the other week and it touched my heart that she thought of me.

Included with the card was this temporary tattoo from the ladies at Scarlet & Gold who created the #GiveGrace Campaign.
They created a line of prints (as well as a necklace and shirt) to inspire and show support for women who are struggling with infertility, or any other daily struggles. It's to show that you're not alone in the difficult things that you're facing, and to bring encouragement to those who are going through tough times.
I love the message they're putting out, and the support that it gives. My husband and I have struggled to get pregnant--I've shared that in the past--and we are still venturing through that journey. It's something I think about daily, and sometimes multiple times a day. But, with the support of friends, family, and others who have dealt with this, I've experienced the grace that comes along with a difficult time. And I know that one day I will have a beautiful little baby in my arms to hold, snuggle and love on.
"The pain that you've been feeling can't compete with the joy that is coming"
Today just isn't my day. And maybe next month won't be either. But it will happen one day. And it is only with the grace that others have given to me, that I've been able to reach this level of acceptance. It isn't easy. I still struggle with it. But I know that it's possible to make it through this.
And likely stronger, wiser, more patient and caring.
I encourage you to reach out to someone who is struggling, whether it be with infertility, or another obstacle, and #GiveGrace.

Meghan and Owen are posting about this campaign and what it means to them on their blogs today, as well.

  2. I love the print, but even more is the idea behind it. So many women (&guys too!) are living with this issue and it's devastating. I try to remain strong but I was already told by doctors we may need to look into fertility treatments - even before we started trying. I try to think at least I know not to expect much when we do start trying. Now, if only my heart would listen to it, too. I'm sure it'll be a rocky road. Lots of love and strength throughout your journey!

  3. I love this post, sweet friend. I don't love that you guys are struggling with infertility - not at all - but I do love that you're being open in your journey, and sharing it with so much bravery and, yes, grace. That tatoo is perfect. I love it so much. Have you heard the song that accompanies the line on the that print? It's by Josh Wilson, and it's called "Before the Morning". I think you'd like it - give it a listen (if you haven't already!) Praying for you and MG continually, always here for you, and hoping that a little blessing is headed your way soon.

I'm sorry you have to endure infertility issues, my sweet friend. It will be worth it in the end, and I know that you know that, but it doesn't take away the pain and frustrations you are feeling now. I hope you feel the love and support from everyone around you!! Love you, girl!!
