Favorite candle scent — hands down I love apple and apple cinnamon scents. They make me happy.
This one has been a new favorite this year, tho (and smells like apples, despite pumpkin being in the name):

Best fragrance for fall — I dont really have a different fragrance for Fall than I do the rest of the year. Maybe I need to change that...
Coffee, tea or hot chocolate? — Yes to all three! Usually coffee is at the top of my list, and then tea, followed by hot chocolate. But on a cold day, any of them would do!
And when I get coffee, and a Cooper cuddle...perfection!

Favorite Thanksgiving food — Stuffing. And my mom's squash casserole. It's my absolute favorite!
What is the best fall memory you have — since we were just talking about Thanksgiving, one of my favorites was hosting Thanksgiving for my parents and in-laws at our house last year. It was so fun to have everyone in our first home together, cook together, and celebrate together

Favorite type of pie — Apple. Gimme all the apple pie!
Most worn sweater — I'm not sure I have just one that I wear a lot, but one of my most comfy ones is this white and gray striped tunic I got from Loft last year--it's perfect with jeans or leggings and is SO warm and cozy
What is autumn weather like where you live — it can vary, but this year we've been easing into Fall--cool, crisp days. Some mornings are cold, and the days end up in the 60's. The leaves are just starting to change colors now which is really pretty!
Football games or jumping in leaf piles — is it bad that the first thing I think of when I think about jumping in a pile of leaves is ticks? So I'd definitely have to say football games. Especially when you get the hook up and have field passes with friends

What song really gets you into the fall spirit — I can't think of any that remind me of Fall. I can think of about 100 that remind me of Christmas tho...
Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged liner — On myself? probably the winged liner. Dark lips have to be done on the right person, the right way. I've seen it done well, and I've seen it done...ew.

Is pumpkin spice worth the hype — I think they're delicious--but a little over-hyped, and definitely pricey...sometimes regular coffee with some pumpkin spice creamer is just fine too (and not as many calories)
Favorite fall TV show — Probably The Good Wife or Married At First Sight (The First Year)
Combat boots or Uggs — Uggs all the way. Warmth and comfort! I dont care what they look like if they're keeping my toes warm!
{via} I have this pair and absolutely LOVE how warm and comfy they are! |
Skinny jeans or leggings? — Both! I feel like Fall is the perfect time to rock some leggings under tunics or longer shirts/dresses (I just got a tan pair and a cranberry pair last week!). But I also love my skinny jeans, too.
Halloween: yay or nay — Is 'meh' an option? I don't really care about Halloween anymore. I think I'll care more about it again once we have kids.
What do you think about Black Friday? — I think people lose their sh*t over Black Friday for some mediocre discounts. I'd rather spend my time at home with my family, in the warmth, not battling and elbowing people for a pair of pants or an Xbox. Getting a great deal doesn't make memories (and I love a great deal)
Fall mornings or evenings — Mornings. When the sun rises in the morning, and it shines on the changing leaves...something about that just feels kind of magical and looks stunning

One Fall 2015 trend you love — The poncho. If you've been around here before you saw my most recent poncho purchase and let me tell you, that thing is comfy (and I could possibly fit a small brood of children, animals and/or snacks under it as well lol). Love the baggy/comfy look and feel of it!
I thought this was a fun little "get-to-know-you" type of post! Feel free to join in on the fun!
I feel the same way about Black Friday - i think there are so many better deals to be found online...with free shipping why bother!!! I'm going to be stealing this from you :) xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI love that poncho and I'm so glad you got it!!! I am definitely on the hunt for one now. Those Ugg boots.....are adorable! I think those should be added to your closet ;-)
ReplyDeleteBlack Friday is a once in a lifetime experience. My dad and I did it when we first moved to the US (right of passage, I guess?) but then never again. I got great deals, but it takes too much out of you. Online shopping is just as good ;) Love your poncho!
ReplyDeleteOMG reading this suddenly gave me SUCH a craving for all the thanksgiving food, especially green bean casserole!
ReplyDeleteYESSSS to apple pie and UGGs!! I can't wait to get my hands on some proper UGG boots when we move and I have a reason to justify getting a pair again ;) xo
ReplyDeleteI had the same idea for a post today! I totally agree with you on apple pie being the best, and that Black Friday is completely overrated! I also thought of completely negative things when jumping into leaves too, and football is just amazing anyways. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteNo thanks to Black Friday. If I can get it online, okay. If not, no.
ReplyDeleteI love all of the Thanksgiving food!
Loving this! Your striped tunic and poncho are two things I definitely need for fall! And I'm right there with you on Black Friday, no thank you! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteLove the poncho! You look so good! And football oh football.... So glad I saw this post and joined in the fun. I will say I am jealous you all get a fall with leaves, etc...!
ReplyDeleteOoooooh I want to copy too!! Haha ponchos are super cute! Football season is intense in our home! Haha
ReplyDeleteXo
I pretty much wear the same scents year round too, but yes to apple candles! And loving that striped sweater, perfect for this time of year <3
ReplyDeleteGreen Fashionista
The first thing I could think of about with the jumping in the leaf piles was how much work it would take to RAKE all of those leaves to even have piles, so no thank you there haha! And I loooveeee that Loft sweater, it looks so comfy and cozy. Hoping they bring it back this year!
ReplyDeleteOhh I love that tunic sweater you got from Loft-- I just got a more chunky one from Target that I'm loving and now want in every color. They're so comfortable! I have those Uggs in black and love them too- so comfortable and warm!
ReplyDeleteLove this! Might have to steal it. ;) I love, love, love that striped sweater - it's perfect.

Cooper + Hot Chocolate – yes!! I love stuffing too – believe it or not I didn’t like it until a couple years ago but it’s just so delicious! You guys look so cute hosting together – so fun that you’re doing it again!
ReplyDeleteOooh those woven Uggs look so comfortable and cozy! I also love your most-worn sweater and that candle!
ReplyDeleteI love that fall morning picture...gorgeous! Exactly why that time of day is my favorite, too! So awesome that you guys hosted Thanksgiving...looks like it was a success! We were definitely on the same wavelength today!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post :) We have a lot of stuff in common! Have a wonderful November (and great end to your October).
ReplyDeleteThe leaf picture is completely adorable! And I would just love to cuddle up in a pair of those Uggs!

Super cute post! Love the fall theme! Squash casserole is the BEST. So glad it's my sister-in-law's fav too so we'll get it at Thanksgiving this year :)
ReplyDeleteI like that this post is making the rounds!! I'm with you on apple pie and stuffing, yum! Also I love your sweater and poncho choices. I am so craving some new fall fashion!
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny that the candle says pumpkin p, but smells like apples. Love all your fall favorites! And I think of chiggers when jumping in leaves. No thank you!

people who bash uggs have never worn them because if they had, they wouldn't be saying such blasphemous things!! they're so cozy and warm...i love mine!
ReplyDeleteApple and Cinnamon is such a classic combo and so amazing!
ReplyDeleteApple pie all day long! Yes, yes, yes!!! And somehow I missed that presh poncho purchase. Do spill the deets on it, miss!!!:) Love!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on the Black Friday. So not worth it. To me, there are enough sales throughout the season to score a good deal. Thanksgiving weekend is a time of reflection, spending time with loved ones and eating. Definitely eating.
ReplyDeleteOh cute post! I'm going to steal this too! Cooper cuddles are always a win! I'm not in to the ponchos yet! I can probably crochet one though! Trish - tales from trish
ReplyDeleteLove this idea. I am with you on Black Friday--I will do the online stuff but no in store crap. You are too funny with the ticks. My first thought with leaf piles is the itchy leaves getting down my shirt. I don't know why but I remember that so vividly from when I was a kid. Love the poncho look on you! And I just started wearing jeggings. AMAZING! I picked up some from Hue and they are pretty much the best thing ever!
ReplyDeleteAnnie- All Things Big And Small
I'm all about fall, sweater weather and Ugg boots!!! I love that poncho and have been searching for one just like it! Can't find one anywhere
ReplyDeleteYour comment about Black Friday gave me a good laugh, lol. People seriously need to chill about that. Loved learning all your favorite things about fall!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun post! Love all your answers. That striped sweater is absolutely adorable. And I'm with you on the ponchos! Heck yes! xo, Champagne&Suburbs
ReplyDeleteoooooh that poncho is cute!! and so is that striped sweater, i want! glad i wasn't the only one stumped on the song question haha.
