It's Wednesday already? I guess that's what happens when you're gone through late Monday night and hop right into the week.
Let's talk about what's hap-"pinning" around these parts! Remember, you can talk about anything going on--it doesn't have to relate to Pinterest--grab our button and link up!
I'm gonna recap my weekend again this week since I was gone through Monday and didn't get a chance to share.
My weekend Minnesota hap-"pinning"s included:
~Saturday afternoon arrival
~getting to see our 2 friends for the first time, in person, since their engagement; and lots of talk about their wedding plans!
~an afternoon at a super fun, fully decked out Fall "festival" of sorts (Severs, if anyone is in the area), with a corn pit (so fun for us and the kids!), a huge slide, corn mazes, pumpkin chuckers, and some of the best Fall fair foods (deep fried cheese curds---oh my word--apple cider, and donuts!)
~Family style dinner with the 6 adults at home, while the three adorable kiddos were sleeping
~a late night hilarious game that included a cup and no hands...you had to be there
~talking and laughing until late
~up early to the pitter patter of little feet
~morning playtime with the kids
~off to the Vikings game
his "vikings face" haha |
~field passes for before the game
they are SO BIG! |
~a Vikings win, including a touchdown from one of our friend's players!
~Tailgating in the players/coaches parking lot afterwards--and getting to meet some of them!
~celebrated a Vikings victory and our friend's birthday
~got to spend Monday morning with a walk to the park in 74 degree weather (it was seriously warmer in MN than it was back in VA) with the two littles who didn't have school
~a last lunch together followed by the cutest car ride to the airport
We always have such a good time when we're together--it's a shame that we don't all live closer so we could do it more often. MG and I were laughing that when we were in our early 20's, we never thought a really fun weekend would have involved 3 kids, but it really was perfect.
These quotes totally remind me of how awesome it is to have great people in your life:
Now it's your turn to link up with Jessi and I and share what's hap-"pinning" with you!
Whattt?!? I totally want to go down that slide, not even kidding! Glad you guys had such a good time, it was so fun following along to your snaps! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteYour trip to the Vikings game looked like SO much fun!! I'm a litttle bit jealous, friend ;) I'm also loving those quotes from the bottom of your post. I'm so thankful for the group of friends I have around me because they truly are some of the best people I know. xo
ReplyDeleteSounds like such a fun weekend!!! Those little ones are just too cute. So nice that even though they are far away, you still make it a point to get together when you can!
ReplyDeleteSo cool that you were on the field - that's awesome! I can see why you're battling a cold you had a terrific weekend!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteLooks like an awesome weekend for sure. I too would love to go down that slide and the Vikings' win is always a good thing! Loved your son's Vikings face. I bet it was hard to leave the precious cargo behind at the airport - she's a living doll. ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a fun weekend! It's hard having such close friends live far away, but it makes it all the more exciting when you are able to plan a get together.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun weekend, family weekends are the absolute best! We always joke too that our best Friday nights are spent with family and in bed by 10pm haha. Oh how times have changed!! Xoxo
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun weekend! I thought that I was pretty autumnal with my corn maze, but I've never seen a corn pit before (and that slide looks awesome!!).
ReplyDeleteLove that you guys had passes to the field, and that slide looks like so much fun <3

What a fun weekend! As a MN gal I am just loving all of this. Glad you got to share the gorgeous weather Monday with us, no 70s in sight for the rest of the year it looks like!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like y'all had the best time, and that's so awesome that you had field passes and got to tailgate with some of the players and coaches afterwards. That's crazy that it was warmer in Minnesota than in Virginia! You would think that there might already be snow in Minnesota.
ReplyDeletelove those quotes and it looks like you had such a fun week!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool that you got to go on the field and meet some of the players. Looks like it was a great weekend in MN. That slide looks like so much fun.
ReplyDeleteLooks so fun, including the corn pit. I feel like we were the only family not at a fall pumpkin of sorts thing this weekend with our baby. Glad you had a good visit!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a fun weekend! I can't stop thinking about the fried cheese curds, those sound amazing lol! And totally agree - my idea of a perfect weekend now is relaxing and catching up with friends, a lotttt different than it used to look :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! So cool that you were able to be on the field. It was colder in South Carolina than where we were in New York this weekend too. Silly how that happens sometimes.

So glad you had a fun weekend! I was cracking up at your Snapchat of the pumpkin chucker thing - that looks right up my alley, lol. :)
ReplyDeletethat slide looks amazing and so fun. i used to love those as a kid, i'd love to go down one now an adult. this really does sound like a fun weekend, and i love those 2 quotes at the end. so true!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! I'm glad you had a good visit and now I'm sad I didn't do anything fall-ish even though I haven't cared up until now. I don't have that much time on upcoming weekends so I'll live vicariously!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend! Thanks so much for sharing at Waiting on...Wednesday and for hosting this link-up!
