How has another weekend come and gone? I'm seriously convinced that time is set on warp-speed ahead!
Part of which was probably the case because our weekend definitely was full of stuff, with some relaxation mixed in, too!
My weekend highlights included:
~Almost getting killed by a MetroBus on my drive home from work (I had a full on panic attack when I got home while I called Metro to tell them about what happened--so freaking scary!)
~Friday date night dinner with MG
~Going to my two friends' (who are sisters) birthday party where they had the entire top floor of the bar/lounge area--was super fun and great to catch up with and celebrate the birthday girls!
~Out past midnight (it's been a while since that happened)
~Rainy Saturday errands: Costco (where we ran into our friends we hung out with last weekend), Benjamin Moore and Home Depot
~Watched 4 episodes of Master of None, the new Aziz Ansari show on Netflix which was pretty funny--perfect for a rainy day
~Had dinner plans with a couple friend of ours in DC, but the girl came down with a cold, so we changed plans and went for Mexican food instead #nomnomnom So good!
~Had the perfect Fall evening: rented a movie, started a fire, had some red wine and cuddled on the couch with MG and Coop
~Sunday morning finally felt like Fall had arrived!
~Sunday house project: repainting the outside of the front door (which had been painted crappily by the previous owners). Looks much better now!
~Got the deck furniture covered and put away until Spring
~Watched some football
~Went for a 3 mile walk with MG to take advantage of the pretty Fall day and get in some exercise; snapped some pretty pics along the way
~MG made home made burgers and home made fries for dinner (so so so good!)
~Purchased this beauty on a ridiculous discount, thanks to the Bloomie's sale and Amanda for informing me about it
~got in a little reading time with my current book, watched a little tv, relaxed and rested up for another week!
I hope your weekend was full of beautiful Fall weather, friends and fun!

I hope your weekend was full of beautiful Fall weather, friends and fun!
Linking up with these pretties today:
Oh my goodness, that is NOT cool about the Metro bus!! Sometimes I think bus/truck drivers think they own the road. Semis blow through snowy roads like it's 80 degrees up here and cause terrible accidents because of it. So stupid. I'm glad you're OK though!!! Fall finally arrived here too! I'm glad you got to take advantage of that with a nice walk and cuddling by the fire :) Happy Monday!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect weekend with the exception of the metro bus situation - they are terrible here too!!! Love your new purse and the way you spent saturday night...pretty much how I spent ours too!!! Happy Monday girl! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI do feel like time is on warp-speed. We were just talking about christmas gifts the other day.. That's just crazy to me! Sounds like aside from your scare the rest of the weekend was really nice. nothing better than to enjoy a fire and cuddles on the couch. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great fun filled weekend, perfect with a little bit of everything. Love the new door color!

Glad you weren't hit by the bus, so scary! Buses drive insane sometimes I once saw one take out a motorcycle while I was waiting at the red light. Thankfully everyone was okay but it was so scary to see! The rest of the weekend looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend! I absolutely love weekends at home packed with lots of productivity + laziness! Xoxo
ReplyDeleteYour walk that you went looks absolutely gorgeous and a great way to catch the last little bits of fall! And your movie, fire, wine and cuddle time evening sounds sounds absolutely perfect! I'm hoping the weather in Texas gets cooler (and stays that way) soon so we can light a fire too!
ReplyDeleteyay for a mini mac!! i have a black on black one and use it ALL the time. and look at that fall weather! perfect for a stroll. unlike here, where it's hot as the sun haha. happy monday girly!!

Yup, totally just gifted myself a RM bag too! :) I've been dying for the Avery in Chesnut and what do you know... on sale! And umm the Metro Bus thing?! How scary! Glad you're ok and you called to complain! Jealous of your pretty fall weather! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteYeah!!!! So happy you got it! What the hell Metro bus?!?! I'm glad you are okay but seriously yeah I stay the hell away from big buses and truckers because they have zero regard for anyone else on the road!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect and productive weekend, girl!! Well except for the bus incident, so scary!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like beautiful weather there, it's been raining for like 10 days straight in bama so the struggle is real! Send us some sunshine please ha!

Love your new bag!! It's so pretty! Sorry to hear that you almost got hit by a bus, I can only imagine how scary that must have been! Some bus drivers are so reckless. They have no regard for anyone.
ReplyDeleteWe had Mexican for dinner Friday. I have found that Mexican food places are very baby friendly.
ReplyDeleteMexican, yum! Love how the door looks! Extra nice that you could do it yourselves! Glad you're ok and nothing happened during the Metro scare! Happy Monday! Enjoy!!! Xo
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had quite the productive weekend, minus the bus incident, glad to hear you're alright!! I watched a couple episodes of Master of None and can't wait to watch more, Aziz Ansari is hilarious! That crossbody is sooo pretty, loving that plum color!
ReplyDeleteFriday date nights are my favorite! Loving your Mexican and fall evening as well – seriously the best. Fall really decided to hit at once, huh? Finally time for coats and boots!
ReplyDeleteLove that bag! It's the perfect color. Stay safe - those busses are scary!
ReplyDeleteI watched Master of None this weekend too. I thought it was hilarious. I didn't see the first few episodes because my friends were already a few in when I showed up but we finished the season. I have been craving good Mexican food.
ReplyDeleteThat birthday cake is so beautiful! I love that bag you got from Bloomies. I need it. It's my signature color! Thanks for linking up today.

I can't believe we are already in the 2nd week of November, time is definitely flying and FAST. LOVE the cute new bag and the color is wonderful for the Fall/Winter. Sorry about the "almost" Metro bus catastrophe, but so happy you were okay. Have a great week! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad that you're still alive after the bus incident! I swear those city bus drivers have no clue what they're doing most of the time - I always felt like I was going to die when we still lived in the city in Iowa. Looks like you had a beautiful weekend weather wise, too! Good for you for taking advantage of it. Love the front door color!
