Weekending Highlights

Happy Monday, lovies! This weekend flew by super fast, but it was both fun and productive, so a total win!

My weekend highlights included:

~Getting to wear my Loft poncho to dinner on Friday
~pre-dinner drinks at Brasserrie Beck

~Double date dinner in DC at ToroToro, a Latin-inspired restaurant with our friends. Ended up being at dinner for 3 hours just eating and chatting--I love nights like that!
~On the menu: their delicious cheese bread, scallops, smoked guac, mushroom flatbread, oysters, crispy shrimp, and wine. Lots of wine.

~Had my Old Navy shipment arrive and loved every single thing in it except the white puffy vest

~Got an early Xmas present from my mom: ceramic pots and pans which are amazing to cook with! Totally doesn't stick at all, heats up fast, and a breeze to clean! If you're in the market for a set, these are fabulous!

~Saturday holiday shopping at one of the super malls near us--MG made out well with a couple of the stops, and even helped me try and find a new holiday dress (and picked out a sherpa vest, all on his own, for me to try--that guy is a good one, I tell ya!)

~Found one that I liked, but had a weird seam around the chest area that I didn't love, so I didn't get it
~Had lobster bisque for lunch (at the same place I had it for dinner a couple weekends ago)...so damn delicious!

~Got a new pair of glittens (glove-mittens) at Urban Outfitters--these are one of my favorite cold weather accessories! Mine are similar to these
{via}
~afternoon hour-long massage with MG at Massage Envy. Heaven.

~made burgers at home for dinner and watched part of the first season of The Affair

~Slept for almost 10 hours

~Sunday errands, wearing the most comfy tunic sweater ever (from Old Navy)--I highly recommend it if you haven't gotten one (get it here--I would live in this sweater if I could...and kinda want to get it in several colors)

~Got our Christmas card list together, envelopes printed, stuffed, stamped, sealed and mailed! Whoop!

~Sunday afternoon 3.6 mile hike with MG

~A cotton candy sunset sky #nofilter

~Pizza for dinner from &pizza (so so so good!) and relaxing on the couch

It was all a good mix of fun and productivity--plus some delicious food! Hopefully your weekend was equally as relaxing and productive!
Linking up with these pretties today:

  11. Cute poncho! Waiting for my cards to arrive! I'll mail them out as soon as I get them! I have similar mittens from Primark, so cute and they go with everything! I think I tried that white puffy vest from old navy, didn't work for me either!

  12. Love the tunic and your poncho. The dress is gorgeous, but again I can't see the seam. The gold looks so good on you as does winter white. I have a gorgeous winter white dress I wish I could just run over and let you borrow! Love ceramic pots and pans! They are often better than my super expensive copper bottoms ones. xoxo have a good week.

  21. Your weekend sounds so wonderful! Funny you mentioned not liking your white puffy vest from Old Navy... I had one too and I didn't like mine either. the down (or fake down, whatever it was) shifted around inside and make weird lumps. I accidentally left that vest in a hotel room a few weeks ago when my husband and I were away and when I realized I had left it there... I wasn't all that mad. :-) Did yours do the same thing with the weird lumps?

  26. A productive weekend in my book would've been successfully getting Christmas cards out the door, but you definitely did way more than that! That sunset was gorgeous!

  27. I've never cooked with ceramic pans before but they sound amazing. I haven't had lobster bisque in forever but it's one of my faves. The holiday dress looks great on you....too bad the seam was wonky! I went shopping for a holiday dress yesterday and found one at Kohl's on the sale rack for $14.50. Score!

  36. Dang girl those pots and pans… SO JEALOUS!! Love that poncho and that dress. I have been searching everywhere for a dress for graduation. It's like when you really need one you can't find one but when you don't need one you like every single one you see haha

  38. I'm fairly certain that this post is a description of my ideal weekend. and also, that poncho is two thumbs up! I'm starting to get into ponchos this year and I don't think I'll ever go back. they're the comfiest clothing item ever invented.

  39. Reading your last weekend post almost in time for this weekend's! LOL

I frequently purchase things I like in numerous colors.

Woo hoo for new pots & pans! I might need to buy some for the shore next year. I'm iffy on what's down there.
