Weekending Highlights

Happy Monday, friends! Did you get a lot done during the last shopping weekend before Christmas?
Ours was a good mix of fun, relaxation and being productive.
My weekend highlights included:

~Early release from work on Friday to start Winter Break

~Drove straight from work to get a massage which was heavenly and the perfect way to kick off my break (and my massage therapist even went over my hour massage by 10 minutes--whoop!)

~Friday night at home where I made chicken pesto stuffed peppers for dinner. They were so tasty!
~Movie night with the fireplace going--so cozy!
look at how cute the blanket ladder is!!

~Early to bed and slept for 9 hours--obviously it was needed

~Ran errands Saturday morning: ordered new storm doors for the house (our Christmas present from MG's parents), post office which was insanity, and out shopping for MG's parents gift. Plus, a quick stop at Old Navy to return something, but got we both got sucked into their 50% off sale. Oops.

~Finally wore the KS necklace from my recent Rocksbox

~Our friends who live down the street from us had a Pre-Christmas dinner at their house (a "friendsmas") complete with a 14 pound turkey and all the yummy sides that go along with a turkey dinner! Not to mention, her place was decorated so fabulously!

~Got a girls photo, and celebrated our friend's birthday a day early with some cheesecake
~Woke up on Sunday with a horrible migraine until my excedrin kicked in (thank goodness for Excedrin Migraine!!)

~Met up with Christy in Old Town for a super yummy brunch blate at Virtue and then walked around the streets, and did some browsing through the shops along the way
~Rested up the rest of the afternoon to fully recover from how the morning started: got caught up on 90 Day Fiance (such a weird show, but I can't stop watching), watched some football, did some reading, and got in plenty of Cooper snuggles
~Watched tv and saw the end of the Miss Universe pageant....uhh..did you guys see the epic mistake Steve Harvey made by announcing the wrong winner, and then having the runner up get crowned and then taking it away from her? Yikes! So awkward!
Today I'm getting some presents wrapped and hanging out enjoying my first official day of Winter Break!
And to start your week off right, check out this parody of Adele's "Hello"...about all of the cravings for the yummy but bad foods :)
Linking up today with Biana and Meghan for Weekending!

  1. What a great way to kick off your break with a massage and a good night's sleep :) I'm jealous of your brunch blate with Christy!! I need to come visit this spring--I won't be running Cherry Blossom this year because of my friend's wedding, so that just means I need to come another time!! Old Navy sucks everyone in, don't feel bad about it, lol. Also, your opening button reminds me of this video that we quote at work all the time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfdMsxSjY3o LOL :) Happy Monday!!

I'm still in shock over that mistake...I feel so bad for miss Colombia...and Philippines...just awful!! Enjoy your first day of winter break! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  29. We were so low key this weekend. My son has been sick since last Wednesday and we needed a good weekend to rest. I'm so glad we got all of our shopping done and did all the fun Christmas stuff we wanted. We did miss our Friends Christmas on Sunday though. Yours looked like fun. Love the necklace and the outfit too.
