Confessin'

It's been a looooooong while since I did a confessions post, and since it's the start of a new year, why not get to confessin'?
{via}
I confess that....

....on Tuesday, our coldest day of the year so far, I went home after work, took Cooper out, and immediately snuggled under the blankets on the couch and watched two hours of Teen Mom OG instead of working out. No shame.

....Cooper is the cutest pup on our block in his Winter coat.
I may be biased, but that's ok :)

.....speaking of Cooper: before Christmas I took Coop to the vet for his annual check up, shots, etc. and he was the happiest little clam you ever did see (as always). After being fawned over by the vet techs, the male vet came in and doted on Cooper, couldn't believe that his tail was still wiggling through 3 shots (it was actually wiggling while he was getting the shots) and told me at the end how great of a dog Coop is and that I got extremely lucky with him. As if I didn't know ;) #proudmama
.....I hate getting stuck behind school buses in the morning.  I get that they need to be picked up, but it's annoying when I sit behind 3 or more on my commute to work some mornings, and have to wait for 5 minutes or more for the high school kids to all pile on. The most aggravating is the straggler who walks his butt slowly to the bus while the line of cars waiting to go just gets longer and longer...#hurryyoassup

......I've been deleting every sale email I've been getting to steer myself away from the temptation of purchasing anything unnecessary during our no spend month

.....I slipped and bought one thing, on mega sale ($25), because Pinterest Told Me To alerted me on Facebook to a 40% off sale on a tunic I'd wanted at Nordstrom with amazing reviews....but it's back ordered until late January, so does that still count?
....I kinda feel guilty for slipping up (I'll just extend my no spending a week into February to make up for it! Problem solved, right?)

.....I may have put more than 20 marshmallows in my hot chocolate one night while we were up in PA for the holidays. Ok, I definitely did. And maybe it was more than that. Oops...
{via} my cup looked like this several times over once the marshmallows melted....just add more!
....all I want to eat for dinner lately is soups. Give me all the soups.

.....I drove about 10 minutes of my commute yesterday morning with ice crystals on my windshield because my car didn't defrost them fast enough and my windshield wiper fluid was frozen. I could still see, but it was a little bit of a challenge, and probably not the safest thing to do.
....I spend my day at work turning the heat on and off in my office. I have an old school heat system in there. I turn it on and gets super toasty very quickly, but there's no regulator to shut it off, so I spend my day going back and forth turning it on, letting my office heat up in a matter of minutes, and then turning it back off, only to repeat the cycle again a little bit later when my office cools down again. At least I'm getting some steps in every time I walk over there and back, right?

....working with someone who is stupid is annoying. Working with someone who's higher up than you and stupid is infuriating.

....in a meeting at work yesterday when a dad was describing his preschool son and said, "He's delicious" I melted. It was so sweet!

That's it for me today...do you have any confessions?

  1. Great post idea! I was the same yesterday with my driving...I scraped a tiny bit of my windshield and that was it. Oops! I figured I could see the majority of what I needed to. I am having trouble slipping up myself...I found the cutest dress yesterday. Oh well, just add of to the list of things to buy Feb 1. Cooper is such a charming dog...he seems to wrap everyone around his finger, which is great!

  2. I bought that tunic during the anniversary sale last year and loveee it so I think it was worth breaking your no spend month :) Going a week into February will totally make up for it! I'm on a no shopping for January as well, too many after Christmas sales!

  3. Girl I am all about soups these days too!! If it were up to me we'd have soup for dinner every night… hubs doesn't agree though :( Love the color of that tunic!! Oh and give me all the marshmallows. I've been drinking SO much hot chocolate lately!

  4. All I want to eat is soups too! And it's not even that cold out here but I still want them all! And I do the same thing with my heater. When I get in it's 68 in my office so I turn it on, it gets up to 80 then I turn it off and then it drops and I repeat the process LOL! The struggle is real. <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

  5. This made me LOL! I, too, bought that olive green tunic and need it to be here soon! ;) I have the white and blue one and love them both, and this one will be perfect to wear for Baylor games.

  6. ah i love this! and girl, being from PA i can't tell you how many times i had a windshield like that bc some days, you're just not gonna sit outside and scrape the shit off that windshield (or just a small section haha) and i think it's fine you slipped on the purchase. but then again i'm all about "treat yourself" pretty much on the daily :)

  7. Cooper is a sweetheart in his little coat!
My dog hides under chairs at the vet and, come shot time, I have to drag him out (he goes completely limp) and hoist all 35 pounds up onto the table.

Working in education, I have to agree. Stupid higher-ups are the worst.

  8. hallelujah to having a higher up is stupid! my coworker and I may create work for my boss and give him things to do. and he makes twice as much as us. *facepalm* and guilty of driving with ice crystals..who has time to wait for the defrost to work!?

  9. Love confession posts! Cooper looks adorable, its so funny that he didn't mind getting the shots. I wish I had some hot chocolate right now...Instead, I just have some room temperature coffee, haha!

  10. I won't tell about your purchase... I mean mega sale trumps no spending its like practically free! Love Cooper tail wiggles just so darn cute. P.S. the tunic is gorgeous and will look fab on you, I say with those fringe boots you accidentally were sent.

  11. How adorable is Cooper in his coat?! And I would have done the same thing if it was that cold out... the couch and blankets will always win!

  12. That's so cute that Cooper loves going to the vet! I thought that our dog Dart was the only dog that loved being there! His tail starts wagging as soon as he gets there, and he'll literally start barking at the vet techs if they don't come over and say hi to him! And I can't believe all the cold weather y'all have been having! I would be miserable if I had to drive with ice crystals on my car!

  13. Girl I totally didn't work out on Tuesday either - it was too cold to do anything and I cancelled my pure barre class that i was going to lol! I made a purchase yesterday but it was a cheapie and I had a gift card so it doesn't count - I'm trying to not spend money, but gift cards totally dont count! I'm having soup for lunch - it's decided lol! xo, Biana

  15. I love confession posts! Cooper is the cutest! I confess that I've been on a crazy unsubscribe spree from all of my retail emails. No more, Gap, no more!

  17. My cat Sadie did the exact same thing when I took her to vet a few weeks ago. Of course she didn't wag her tail but she was purring the entire time. Even when the vet had to take a small sample from this weird thing she had on her arm AND when they gave her her two shots. It was so weird....especially for a cat!

Oh my gosh..I work with some annoying people too. I find myself staying in my classroom for majority of the day just so I don't have to deal with them.

  18. School buses are the bane of my morning commute. I can't even get around them by taking an alternate route, because the alternate routes all have schools on them, and schools = dropoff lines that backup into the road. ARG.

  19. Oh, girl - working with someone above you who is stupid is definitely INFURIATING! Been there, done that. Hope to never have to deal with that again. Love that we both happened to do confessions today. Great minds:)

  20. Oh my goodness Cooper is such a cutie! I love it.

  21. Always that slow poke at the end who is taken his sweet ass time to get on the bus......when you are running late and have caught every single red light......yup sounds like my morning commute today!

  22. Cooper is just the cutest! I wish Brady would wear a little coat without freaking out because they are so adorable! And I feel you on the hot chocolate - the marshmallows are what it's all about, right?!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I love marshmallows in hot chocolate!

And I watch Teen Mom OG too. Then I also watched True Life: I Had My Cousin's Baby.

  24. Love the color of the tunic you purchased. I definitely agree it would be infuriating to work to work for someone who is stupid. My boss has zero short-term memory but i wouldn't say he's stupid. I just have to repeat myself a lot. lol Oh my! It must have been very interesting driving to work with that windshield.

  25. I think it's a rule of hot chocolate that you have to add more marshmallows as the previous ones melt.. it's the best!!! And I wanted that tunic top from PTMT also... I'm kinda glad it's on backorder.. that's the best temptation killer!

    ReplyDelete
  26. My husband does the same thing and drives with frosty windshields. It drives me crazy!! :) Hot chocolate is better with loads of marshmallows. I confess that I've eaten far more cupcakes than I should have in the past two days!

  27. Um, I'm so thrilled to hear that someone else still watches Teen Mom OG. It's my guilty pleasure, and I will never stop! Cooper is so stinkin' adorable in his winter jacket, and you will LOVE that tunic from Nordstrom - I have it in ivory and the olive color. :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. I regularly drive with my windshield like that!

I love Coop in his jacket! Mae loves her warm clothes. The boys hate all clothes.

I think that tunic at that price is a must-have. There. Absolution.

  29. Cooper looks so cute in that little coat!

  30. I'm pretty sure delicious is the word I use most frequently to describe my children (when they're not being insane.) I am telling you right now that tunic purchase was worth extending the no shopping until February!

    ReplyDelete
  31. The tunic is one of my favorites - so comfortable but cute! But I'm also with you on the not shopping - I'm not looking at emails and avoiding the mall! Love all the Cooper talk - give him a pet for me.

But seriously, the dad describing his son as delicious is the most! I love it!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Soups are on my mind right now too....bad time to start a low carb eating plan. I'm so trying to stop shopping...ugh..so many sales!! I am actually not a fan of the tunic...I don't know if it's just me but I loved the old PTMT favorite pleione style much better and it wrinkled much less. Everyone else seems to love it though so I am obviously in the minority. :)

  33. I have that tunic in black. You will LOVE it! What a sweet comment about that parent's little boy. I really adore confession posts! xo, Champagne&Suburbs
