Happy Wednesday!
It's time for another round of what's hap-"pinning" with Jessi and I--remember you can link up about anything that's happening. It doesn't have to be Pinterest-related!
In our house, we've been planned for our bedroom being painted. It took us a while to actually pick out a color, and let's hope it looks good once it's up, because we have a 16 foot wall on one side of the bedroom.
I do not want to re-paint that wall (heck, I don't want to paint it at all to begin with!)
We picked Behr's Urban Raincoat because it has hints of blue, grey, and green in it (common colors throughout our entire house). It looks lighter in this online sample than it does up on our walls. Plus, the color changes based on what light is coming into the room.
I've been finding some great room inspiration photos on Pinterest. I'm loving the wall color of these, and the bedding!
{via}-love the comforter design {via}-so clean!
And since I've still been trying to be good on my no-spending month, I've been dreaming of some bedroom decor to go along with the new paint color. Especially some ideas for above the bed:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about this nightstand/dresser and the styling of it!
Do you have any go-to inspiration when you're deciding on paint color and other design elements in your bedroom, or other rooms in the house?
Now it's your turn to link up with Jessi and I and share what's hap-"pinning" with you!

Oh what a pretty color!!! It will look beautiful in the natural light! =)
ReplyDeleteTo save money on new home decor pieces I've shopped at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, & Hobby Lobby!! I love Home Goods but their prices can be a lil crazy. TJ Maxx & Marshalls have great items, especially wonderful wall art at great discounts w/ the same quality!
Best wishes w/ the painting! Melanie | Blog: Toots + Dill
I love the color you guys decided on-- and all the inspiration pictures! I love the tufted headboard too!
ReplyDeleteOoohhhh-I love that color. My mother had a similar color done to my parents house and yes, depending on the light, the walls change. I love that.
ReplyDeleteLove the color you chose! It's go so many undertones I really feel like it will look great with anything. I love that nightstand too, so gorgeous!! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteLOVE the color you guys picked out! We have a similar tufted headboard like the one you posted, and we got it on Overstock.com for a fraction of the price of what it would be in furniture stores/catalogs. I'll research the link for it for you ;-)

That is a gorgeous color...it seems so versatile! Its cool that it sort of changes color depending on the lighting in the room. Also the decor ideas for above the bed are so pretty. Love the idea of first dance song lyrics and the date hanging up!

These are so pretty! Totally love that headboard and also the paint color. It's so hard to get gray/green colors right, but it looks like you've found a good one :)
ReplyDeleteThat nightstand! And I love the color palette you have chosen, so fresh and relaxing.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I'm obsessing over everything here - especially that paint color! Our living room is sort of similar to that! Happy hump day gorgeous! xo
ReplyDeleteI love all your inspiration pictures. I think that color is great for creating a calm, peaceful space.
ReplyDeleteLove love love the clean look!!
ReplyDeleteI need to start thinking of what I'll want once josh and I move back home! We're in San Diego for another 8 months with the marine corps and then back home it is!!
I love all your room ideas! We went with a similar color scheme in our room and I'm LOVING it.. it's so calm and relaxing now (our room was bright butter yellow from the previous owners). We just need to get one more piece of furniture in there and I'll finally be able to do a room reveal! Happy Wednesday!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat nightstand is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI want to get a tufted headboard too. Not in this house though. Or should I say not in this bedroom. If we redo the bedrooms upstairs, I might consider it.
I absolutely love all the inspiration in this post today! We soon will be re-painting our master bedroom because the color that we painted it a week after we moved in is no longer our cup of tea. We have black furniture, so we are trying to find the lightest gray shade possible (I'd love to get new furniture eventually, but the stuff isn't that old so I can't justify it yet). I can't wait to see how your room turns out!
ReplyDeleteLove the paint color you picked out...so warm and cozy for a bedroom! I've been wanting to paint our room grey since we moved in 5 YEARS AGO...lol but still haven't got around to doing it,.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the days when I get to decorate and paint hopefully some day! I love your bedroom inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThat color is so pretty - can't wait to see how your bedroom turns out!!
ReplyDeleteLove that paint colour! I have a running theme of colours throughout my house too.
ReplyDeleteLove all the decor inspiration especially incorporating things from the wedding such as the date and song lyrics such a sweet idea.
love the colour you picked out, and the inspiration! we painted our bedroom the night we moved in and i have hated it ever since haha but can't be bothered painting it again. i love the wedding lyrics as decor, i wish i was talented enough to DIY that!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, these are EXACTLY what I'm going for in our bedroom!! I have those same throw pillow in the top photo on the right and a fun coordinating IKEA comforter.
ReplyDeleteThat is such an adorable idea with the wedding song lyrics. That would look so pretty above the bed!
ReplyDeleteI swear paint colors are the death of me - I'm SO bad at picking them out! We're about to repaint our guest bedroom for the 3rd time, ha! Loving your inspiration though and I can't wait to see it all come together!
ReplyDeleteI love all of these decor ideas! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that colour! It looks gorgeous in all lights!
