Confessing and Hashtags

I don't know about you, but I kind of love having this weekly confession post with you all--feels like I can unload, and laugh which is nice!
So, let's get to it!

I confess that.....
....I normally don't share when MGs out of town, but he is, and it's going to be over our anniversary. So, I figured I'd just let the cat out of the bag so you all don't wonder why there are no photos of us together on our anniversary next week. And I'm pretty sure no one in blog world knows where I live, and if you do, I doubt that you're going to come and kill me. You can come and drink wine with me though! :)
....when MG is out of town, I eat not as great as when he's here. It's just that I find it so much harder to cook for one and then I end up with a bunch of leftovers and get sick of it after a day or two. #macandcheeseanyone?
{via}
.....the outpouring of love and support that I got on my post on Tuesday about giving up control was completely overwhelming. I didn't realize there were so many people out there struggling with the same issues as me...or the same topic, and just different issues. Thank you for your love and support--it truly has done me a world of good to know I'm not alone, and to feel the support from you all! #feelinthebloglove

.....every time MG goes out of town, we joke that something will break (because when we first lived together, this happened EVERY time he would leave), and this week it happened again with our stove. Luckily I got it working again, somehow, but it freaking figures...every. single. time. #withoutfail

.....I can't stand when lazy teachers try and blame their laziness (and the lack of results) on other people. I had a sped teacher tell a parent the other day that her kid's lack of progress with his reading rate was likely due to his language. One--that makes NO sense. Two--that's not true. Three--stop trying to pawn off your laziness on everyone else and look in the mirror lady! #doyourdamnjob
{via}
.....Southern Charm's opening sequence has me squirming with delight about all of the drama that's to come this season! #southerndrama
{via}
......I'm over this cold ass weather! We had mid low 80s last Friday, and high 70s on Monday and then it dipped into the 30s in the mornings and I'm back to wearing my Winter coat. What gives, Mother Nature? Wake Spring back up and tell her to get back to business! #StopsleepingonthejobSpring
Winter be like:
{via}
......I unintentionally fell asleep on the couch on Tuesday night at 8pm for a solid hour. Luckily I woke up right in time for Married at First Sight, though #tiredpeopleprobs
{via} but oh how I wish it was?
....I cancelled my Rocksbox membership. It's been a year and I've purchased 5 really great pieces, but I don't really feel like I need it anymore #byebyebaubles

...I almost ripped my car insurance company a new a-hole when I got a notice from the DMV that they couldn't verify my car insurance and if I didn't get it verified with them by 4-18 that they were going to suspend my license. I called my insurance company the DAY I got my new car (uhhh, January!) and they asked for all of my info and everything was good. Come to find out yesterday that "in error, they did not add the vehicle" so apparently I've been driving around semi-insured...kinda sorta? Thanks for almost getting my license suspended, insurance. #jerks

Ok, that's it for me. What are you confessin' this week?

  1. You are right - if anyone where to come get you, it would be to drink wine together! I always eat worse when it is just me, too. You better believe I make a big pot of mac n cheese...and usually eat the whole thing. Oooops!

  2. That opening scene in Southern Charm was such a mess. Thomas is legit out of control. I swear half of the stories don't even get on the show, they are actually nice to them and don't portray how crazy it really is.

    Anytime Adam is out of town I eat like a child. I'll have cheese and crackers for dinner and just buttery noodles. It's such a mess.

  3. I wish I lived closer so we could drink wine together and not break things in your house ;-) Yes girl, I eat chips and salsa and cereal whenever Mark is gone.....usually finished off with ice cream lol

  4. I am the same with eating when KC is not home, though to be honest it doesn't happen a lot (thank goodness otherwise i'd be like 50lbs heavier). I got one rocksbox but wasn't the biggest fan. thanks for linking up with Gretch and I, Jenn!

  5. Omgosh! Your first confession! That's totally something I would do and think! I wouldn't say when my husband was out of town so people wouldn't come and kill me hahah..! Crazy girls! Xo happy Thursday!

  6. My best friend just told me I must watch Southern Charm.

    I eat the same if MFD is home or away. He eats differently even when we're home together.

  7. Haha these all made me giggle. :) I HATE dealing with the insurance company. Seriously, hate it. Blah! And yay for "Southern Charm!"

  8. It really is hard to cook for just one person! I struggle with the eating the same thing over and over again too! I'm so surprised that even though I watch a ton of Bravo, it never watched Southern Charm. After our trip to Charleston, I kind of want to start watching it though!

  9. I think all the GIFs alone just made my day.

  10. Lol, I like Married at First Sight too. That picture of Nene is so funny. That woman has so many different hairdo's. Weather here has been all over the place too. Winter one day, summer the next! Have a great day.

  11. I am so over this weather. When did Spring mean highs in the 40s & snow? I'm convinced Mother Nature is drunk.

    I saw the previews the other day for Southern Charm & thought I need to jump into this show

  14. Girl I'd totally be over drinking wine with you if you didn't live so far away! Ugh :( So sad that he's gone for your anniversary but that's just a good excuse to celebrate later!

  15. Sorry MG will be out of town for your anniversary, but yay for catching up on tv and all the wine! I'm the same way when H is out of town, I use it as time off in the kitchen and enjoy catching up on my girly shows on the DVR. Sending some much needed warmth your way, I used to hate it when winter just didn't know it's turn was beyond over. Move over and make way for spring <3

  16. I do the same thing trying to cook for one! I end up eating out a bunch. I may start doing more, though, because I need to cook for one for a while. Uggh something always breaks when my husband leaves lmao. Right now the sink is leaking and the toilet handle sticks.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Awe, sorry to hear that the hubs is out of town for your anniversary - you'll just have to celebrate when he gets back! That is so stupid about your car, can't anyone do their job correctly anymore? Sheesh.

    ReplyDelete
  18. You crack me up pretty girl! My husband is always saying never ever day we are on vacation on the blog or someone will rob us, so I can totally relate! I can also relate to the fact that every single time my husband goes out of town something goes wrong whether it be one of our sons driving into a snowbank or the lock breaking off the door or the washing machine breaking down it's always something but it always works out ha ha. Sorry you won't be together on your anniversary but I'm sure you'll make the most of it and enjoy s glass of wine for him too, LOL

  19. Southern Charm looks so good!!!!! Katherine and T. Rav steal the show every time! I saw her on WWHL after the show with Andy Cohen and she was asked which cast was more dysfunctional.. Southern Charm or Vanderpump Rules.. and she didn't know! It's a tough comparison because of Katherine and T. Rav!!!

    Also, I cancelled my Rocksbox membership a while back.. I would have kept it if the monthly fee was lower!

  21. OMG the last gif...DYING, Stassi is so sassy, I love it! I can never commit to trying Rocksbox, because I already have too much! When Chuck is gone, I eat ice cream for dinner. Enough said. haha

  22. Things always happen when my husband is out of town, too!! One time I got a flat tire, another time, my then 1-year old burned his finger on something in the wheel of my car, and another time, my then 2-year old (same kid as before) got a horrible case of the stomach flu--all while I was taking care of our 4-week old baby! Luckily, the last few times he's been away have gone smoothly, but seriously--it's like Murphy's Law or something!!

  23. Cooking for one and drinking for five...hahahah

    ReplyDelete
  24. I always unfortunately cook for one and end up drinking for 5, it's a perk and peril of being alone alot! Enjoy your alone and mac and cheese time!

  25. Just found your blog via GretchRuns link up and we have the same anniversary! Hope you get to celebrate when your husband returns!I also see you have some Philly roots- so I'm glad to have found your blog.

  26. This post is so great with the hashtags and gifs!! That stinks MG isn't home for your anniversary but enjoy celebrating when he gets home!

  27. I never cook when hubs is away either... our poor kids get stuck with sandwiches every night when he's out of town. And if they're lucky, maybe a hot dog. Haha. #momoftheyear

  28. I didn't realize Southern Charm was coming back so soon!!!

  29. I am with you on the weather nonsense. April is drunk.

  30. Of course I love spending time with my husband, but it's a small treat when he is out of town. I can be as lazy as I want and not feel one bit guilty about it. And I don't have to whip up a full meal. Cereal for dinner? Sure, why not?!?

  31. Bryce travels frequently for work and is super paranoid/worried about security, so he doesn't like me posting about travels or too many things about it on the blog. He once asked me to not put a photo of his giant duck decoy case for a home tour post. I was like...."Ummmm...I'm pretty sure that all the GIRLS following my blog, aren't going to break into our home when we're traveling to steal your decoy collection."

  32. Well you've had a big week, at least an nap was a part of it! Glad you got your insurance straighten away, ugh how annoying!

  33. I can't wait for the new season of Southern Charm!! Glad you got your car insurance situation resolved. I hate it when you think you've taken care of something only to have someone else drop the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I LOVE mac 'n' cheese, I have a great recipe for it too on my blog! I really enjoyed all of your Real Housewives and Vanderpump Rules clips haha, too funny.

  35. My husband's new jobs requires him to be gone a couple nights a few and I have the same issue with meals. What's been working for me is buying a bag of pre-grilled chicken and chopped romaine to make salads or other easy things like microwavable rice

    ReplyDelete
  36. I have the same issue with meals when Chris is gone. He works a lot of nights, and I find myself just eating a bunch of snacks! Haha.

  37. You could so be on a commercial for car insurance with your confession on it. While I was reading it I couldn't help but think of the Allstate commercial where the client complains about insurance companies in general. Made me laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm so excited about Southern Charm, too! It's one of my favorite guilty pleasure shows. And seriously, this weather sucks. It's actually SNOWING here right now, blahhh. Happy almost Friday!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I need to watch Southern Charm, I've been so behind it's just been put on the back burner. Ugh how annoying about the insurance thing, I mean it's their job...how can you mess that up?! I am with you on the weather girl, Mother Nature needs to get her act together. We had a weird hail storm for 10 mins and then the sun was out...how about consistent 70-80 degrees from here on out? Also yes to all the pizza and wine :)!!

  40. My boyfriend is a teacher/coach so I'm always hearing stories about parents and/or teachers blaming others for their laziness - I feel for ya there! I've never watched Southern Charm and I feel like I'm missing out on a good drama filled show! -xx Leah || Chasing Texas

  41. I hate people knowing when my husband is out of town! Thanks, husband's coworker, for tagging him in D.C. on your Facebook that is set to public. I love everyone knowing I'm home alone. I always order pizza when he's gone because he has type 1 diabetes and I miss pizza so much.
