Weekending Snapshots

Happy Monday! Was your weekend freezing cold, because ours was...literally it was freezing both mornings this weekend. Winter seriously needs to go home. No one wants you to play anymore!
{via}
Anyway, this weekend was still fun, despite the coldness.

My weekend highlights included....
....Friday surprise delivery from two coworkers: coffee and a blueberry scone, and brownies!
.....a quiet Friday night at home to unwind from the work week, complete with Netflix and puppy snuggles

.....Early Saturday morning with the window guy coming out to take measurements so we can get the windows ordered and hopefully installed in the next few weeks (pending the HOA approval, which they are dragging their feet on...grrrr)

......SNOW....seriously.
.....a day-long blate with Christy which included lunch at Panera and a drive BACK out to the winery I was at last weekend to get my jacket (they still had it!)
.....and a little wine tasting, because...we'd driven all that way and why not?
.....stopped at the other winery I was at last weekend because it was so close by, and I'd wanted to get a bottle there last weekend but didn't get it before we left. So we went there...did another tasting...and then I brought home a white and a red friend with me:
....partook in the food truck that was outside of the winery. Truffle fries and mac and cheese (with melted gouda, manchego, and some other delicious cheeses...topped with crispy bacon crumbles). Ummm, it was to die for delicious!
They also had these amazing t-shirts which made me laugh:
....back home where Christy and Cooper got to meet for the first time (I think it was a mutual love affair between them), before Christy headed back home.

.....a quiet night in

....woke up to 31 degrees outside. Wahhhh
......Sunday morning errands: grocery shopping, laundry, and some cleaning

.....an afternoon spent with my mom. Saturday was one month since my dad passed away. I can't believe it's already been a month. It seems unreal.

......I made my super easy and tasty egg salad for lunch, and then we hung out for a bit. Then we watched Concussion, followed by some Chipotle for dinner. It was so nice to get to spend the day with her. #lovemymom

.....wishing our littlest niece a happy 10th birthday via FaceTime. Can't believe she's so big already!

....Cooper snuggles. Because he's the best snuggler!
Ok so he wasn't snuggling me here, but he was just so cute :)
In amongst that were some Skype sessions with MG, photos of his weekend sightseeing, and sweet texts. So glad he'll be back this week!

And that pretty much wraps up my weekend. It was cold and not a typical April weekend (thank goodness this wasn't my wedding weekend 2 years ago or I would have been heartbroken), but it was still relaxing, and fun.

Hope your weekend was warmer than ours was here, but just as fun!

I can't believe how much snow y'all have been getting! What's even happening?? It's even moderately cold in Texas, getting into the 50s later this week, which is practically freezing by Austin standards. Yikes.

    Happy Monday, Jenn!

  32. Sounds like a fun weekend! The weather has been so horrible. It's like 40 and sunny here and I'm doing cartwheels like I won the frickin' lottery. I'm just so happy that it's not snowing and it's out of the 30s!!! That winery food looks AMAZING. That bacon shirt is super funny too. Not sure who would actually wear it, but I like it.
