Weekending Highlights

Happy Monday friends!  Hoping you're all rested up from the weekend and ready to take on the week! My weekend was pretty low key since MG was out of town for his best friend's bachelor party, but low key was perfect!

My weekend highlights included:
~Up late Thursday night catching up with our friend who got into town that evening for the bachelor party, so I was dragging at work the next day

~Chips and guac/salsa for dinner on Friday night because why not?

~Falling asleep on the couch from 7-9pm and then sleeping another 7 hours once I actually went to bed. Guess my body was trying to catch up from the night before!

~Got up early and got in a work out
~Tried out the Rodan and Fields sunless tanner and am super loving it! I finally feel less dead-looking without the UV rays ;)

~Did some laundry and cleaned around the house

~Went to see Me Before You with my friend Bree with the fully reclining seats (so comfy!) The movie was SO good. I loved the book and I really loved the movie. Definitely go see it!

~Wore my new pom pom shirt from Old Navy (totally love it--go get one if they're still in stock!) and the ear jacket pearl earrings from Loft. Another win!
~Bree and I grabbed dinner at a Mexican restaurant and I ordered a burrito the size of my head (but then could only eat like 1/4 of it because of all the chips and salsa. Sorry I'm not sorry).

~Caught the end of Sister Act 2 on tv before Cooper and I made it to bed
~Had a yummy waffle breakfast with raspberries and turkey bacon
~Met up with my mom and went to see the medium, John Edwards. No photos were allowed during the readings, but we had really good seats and got to meet him afterwards. We didn't get a reading, but the whole experience was incredible.
~Made it back home where MG was back from his weekend away

~Grabbed Noodles and Company for dinner and then dodged rain drops as a massive storm rolled through

And the rest of the night was pretty laid back and low key with lots of catch up cuddles :)
Hoping your weekend was special too!

  9. That is SO cool that you went to see John Edwards!! My grandmother and grandfather went to see him in NYC about ten years ago and he picked them out of the audience and knew tons of crazy things that he could have never known otherwise. They have it recorded and it gives me chills every time we watch it. He is incredible!

  12. I definitely want to see that movie!!! I've seen so much controversy about it because people don't like the subject matter, which to me is ridiculous.

  20. Oh John Edwards would be so cool! I haven't really seen him, but I love the Long Island Medium lady.. it just fascinates me. MMMMMM... chips and guac. I could make a whole dinner out of those too!

  21. Chips and salsa is my favorite meal when my husband is out of town too! The struggle is always so hard when I go to a Mexican food restaurant, do I eat a ton of chips and salsa and don't eat my meal or don't eat a lot of chips and salsa and eat my meal. The chips and salsa usually wins, but that means leftovers for later!

  26. I saw Me Before You in our local recliner seat theatre too this weekend! It was so good! There's always a chance the movie won't live up to a great book but this one was perfect! And the recliner seats never fail :)

  35. The pom pom shirt is so perfect. Love it! That look describes my summer style. Cute and casual. That breakfast looks delicious. I could eat breakfast meals all day, everyday. We've been having stormy weather here too. Ready for it to pass already. It's been so humid.

I always eat way too many chips and salsa/guac and fill up on that so I'm full by the time dinner actually comes out, whoops!
