Weekending: The Packed One

Happy Monday, friends! I'm coming off of a whirlwind of a weekend, and am definitely not fully ready for the week ahead, and also...how is next week Thanksgiving???

Anyway, let's get to the highlights of the weekend:

~Well, this wasn't a highlight but MG and I had to take Cooper to the vet on Friday afternoon because he'd been throwing up for two days (consistently 11 hours after eating), and then after he would eat, he would shake and look like he was starting to have a seizure. We haven't seen those in almost two years since starting him on the meds, so we were concerned.
~Luckily the doc said he thought it was just a stomach thing so we put Coop on a bland diet and some Pepcid. Poor guy was quite exhausted after his exciting afternoon, and was a major cuddle bug sleeper
~Picked up food and had a chill kind of night with Designated Survivor, and a few more episodes of The Crown

~Ran our errands for the week on Saturday morning and discovered this cute pink and rose gold polka dot shirt at Target for $9
~Saturday afternoon we went to our friends' place to meet their new baby boy and get spoiled with snuggles and baby cuddles! MG was all about those baby cuddles--in fact, he was all in on holding little man before I could get my hands on him! (I love seeing him in this role!)
Also fun fact, our friend's twin sister just announced that she is pregnant and due in May, just like us! Lots of April/May babies lately!!

~On Saturday night we met up with our friend from Minnesota since he was in town with the Vikings for the game the next day--we waited for him to arrive at the hotel with some fans who apparently knew where they were staying, then grabbed dinner and had dinner next to Cordarelle Patterson and Charles Johnson
~Kev went to their nightly meetings then came over to see the house and hang out for a bit before heading back to the hotel--always love when we get to meet up with him.

~Sunday MG, myself, and two other guys (one friend I knew, and one work friend of MG's) went to the Skins/Vikings game since our friend scored us tickets. Originally we were supposed to go with our friend and his wife, but they couldn't get a babysitter for their twins, so he went and she stayed home (bummer!) It was a really nice day with gorgeous weather, even though the Vikings didn't win.
I may have enjoyed a chili cheese dog from Ben's Chili Bowl at the game...yum!
~Came back to the house (I got to DD, lucky me! haha) and had my crock pot pasta fagioli ready for us! Man was it good, and so nice not to have to worry about making dinner.
The rest of the night was pretty low key, gearing up for the week, with a look at the Supermoon!
Hoping your weekend was good and your week is off to a great start!

  9. Ugh -- so sorry about Coop! Bagel used to throw up 8 hours after dinner every night (for about 4 nights in a row) and then be magically fine. We give him a pepcid 15 minutes before dinner time EVERY night and that seems to have cured him. (Hence why I'm pretty sure he's at least 25% human). Hope it's something minor for Coop too! Glad you had a great rest of the weekend and got to go to the game! XOXO, R

  16. I sure hope that Cooper is feeling better. Poor little thing. It's always the worst when one of your babies is sick. And yes, HOW THE HECK IS THANKSGIVING NEXT WEEK?! This weather has been tricking me... I feel like we got jipped out of fall! Haha.

  17. Oh no your poor pup! Glad to hear he is okay. Those darn Vikings-had all of us so excited and then go from undefeated to..whatever it is they are doing now. Nothing more heartbreaking in this world than being a Vikings fan ;-)
