No More Trouble Zones

Happy Monday, all!

Today I'm sore. Like, all over. A couple of weeks ago I ordered 4 of Jillian Michael's DVD's (my roommate had the 30 Day Shred and I had been borrowing it from her since she introduced it to me). One of those DVD's is No More Trouble Zones:

I believe it. I believe this especially because not only did I work those trouble zones, I am having trouble moving ANY of those zones at the moment. I think if I did this DVD everyday (you know, assuming I could move the next day to do it consecutively), that I would be in tip top shape!

After doing this video I felt like I had gotten an extremely good workout. I also knew I was in trouble when I went to shower after working out and it hurt to raise my arms in order to shampoo/condition my hair and then afterwards when I went to dry my hair. In fact, at the risk of sounding like a total wimp, I will share with you: my arms even hurt a little while typing this at the moment (go ahead, judge me). Basically, this thing was no joke, but I definitely know that I worked out!

I love The 30 Day Shred, and it's nice because it's only about 25 minutes. This one was 50 minutes and I wanted to die about 20 times throughout.

I'm not sure I'm going to be able to do any kind of exercise today after work. Maybe a run on the treadmill just to loosen up and get some cardio in. But I certainly will not be able to endure that video today. Or maybe even tomorrow.

I would give this DVD workout two thumbs up. You know, if I could move to do so :)

Hope you're having a good start to the week!

  1. Visiting you from Meg's MM! I love Jillian Michaels...seriously, wish she were my personal trainer - she is so inspiring! I know so many people who have her DVDs and swear by them; I have yet to try them, but after yet another positive review, I might just have to cave and make the purchase!

  4. I'm starting the 30 day shred! I'm glad you said it's not as bad as the other workouts! I hope I can handle it! Good luck :)

  5. Casey: don't worry, you'll get back on. Plus, it's your birthday--you can do what you want to! :)

Michelle: the first workout will suck. You will be sore afterwards. But the second, or third time you do it, it's not so bad (I waited a week in between the first and second time I did it, but after that I could do it every day)

  6. This DVD, along with 30 Day Shred and Boost Metabolism, is hard. But after every workout I feel AMAZING. Yes, I'm exhausted, sweaty, and my muscles are aching and trembling, but I feel energized and sharper mentally. I exercise five days a week, alternating workout videos, and take the weekends "off", during which I find I now have more energy to do everything from working in the garden to running around theme parks. I'm actually sleeping better too.
