After seeing that it had a rating of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, we thought we'd see it this weekend to beat the heat.
It's a love story between two kids who are trying to be together despite obstacles. It is a little odd at times, but there are some funny parts and the relationship between the two is cute.
It kind of has a Royal Tenenbaums feel to it (like in terms of it's oddities and it's picture quality).
Overall, I would say it's definitely cute. It has a great cast with Bruce Willis, Ed Norton, Bill Murray and Frances McDormand.
Would I recommend seeing it in the theater? Maybe. It's not an action packed film by any means so if you wait to Netflix it, you won't be missing much watching it at home. But, if you feel like going to the movies, it's also a good one to choose.
Here's the trailer in case you haven't seen it:
Have you seen it? If so, what'd you think? If not, are you interested in seeing it?
I've thought about seeing this in theatres but I can't decide if I really want too. It looks good but I think I'm gonna wait till it comes to the RedBox. It does look like a cute story though. :) Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteI cant wait to see it! Might wait for DVD though!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSHNESS! I want to see this sooo BADLY! I love Wes Anderson and all his oddities in his movies. Thanks for sharing a review without any spoilers!
ReplyDeleteI keep seeing commercials for this movie and thought it seemed just like you described from the trailer. I think I'll wait til it comes to Redbox or HBO. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll watch it when I can rent it!!
