Book Review: Bossypants

Having a day off from work for a snow day made it possible for me to finish the latest book that I was reading: Bossypants by Tina Fey.
(I read this on my Kindle, and sorta glad cuz the cover kind of weirds me out a little bit lol)
I adore Tina Fey, and reading this book just made me like her even more.

You know those times when you read an email or some message from a friend and you can "hear" them saying it? That's how this entire book was. You could really hear Tina Fey's voice as you read. I really loved that about this book.

There's no solid story in the book, but more of a bunch of smaller stories of her experiences over the years and how she got to where she is now. I found it really interesting to see the "behind the scenes" of how things all came together with various shows, her skits on SNL, how she got into "the business," etc.

Keep in mind, there are parts that will make you laugh out loud, or snicker to yourself. I did this several times while I was reading the book on the elliptical at the gym. I'm sure I got some weird looks because of it....and I think that would make Tina Fey very happy :)

If you want a light read, that will make you laugh, take this book out for a spin!

  8. I guess I'm going through all your book reviews :) I read this a few months ago. I agree that it's really funny! For some reason, though, it wasn't my favorite. I think it was just a little too random for me. I don't know. It was light and funny, though, and I definitely could hear Tina Fey writing it!

I LOVE hearing your thoughts and comments--so, make my day and leave me some lovin'!
