Valentine's Weekend Recap

It's a little late, but instead of writing a blog post recapping everything, I chose to spend it soaking up quality time with the hubs since we both had the day off from work yesterday with a snow day!

Our weekend was filled with family and fun, despite the bone-chilling cold temps!
My weekend highlights included:

~Friday night drive up to Philly

~Morning puppy snuggles

~Saturday morning spent with MG and his parents; exchanged cards and Valentine's gifts
You know you've found your soulmate when you buy almost the identical card to each other
~Ran some errands with my SIL and her kids to IKEA and had lunch together

~MG's dad did our taxes and we found out we'll be getting a significant amount of money back! Woohoo!

~Got ready for Valentine's Dinner with the fam and this handsome guy

~Had dinner at the same place that my bridal shower in PA was held a year ago. So fun to go back and such delicious food. And of course, good family

~Sunday quality time with just my SIL while MG and the kids went out

~My other SIL and her girls came down and we all hit the outdoor outlets despite the wind-chills being in the negatives. I got several great purchases from Loft Outlet, White House Black Market and Vera Bradley
Top Left: Sweater, Cami, Shirt and anchor scarf; Bottom Left: new Vera Bradley lunchbox ; Right: that dress will be accompanying me to the Dominican!
~Chinese take out at my SIL's house and family time watching SNL40 together

~Early morning trip to Wegmans to stock up on groceries before the snow storm back home

~quick and easy drive home

~We got to take a trunk home with us that used to be MG's as a kid. We found a home for that beautiful trunk in our guest room--I love that it's in such good condition after over 28 years, and the potential it has!

~Got a manicure before the snow arrived

~Started making plans for how we want to re-do our guest bathroom upstairs with our tax return money

~Watched the snow fall down and made broccoli cheddar soup together for dinner

~Snuggled on the couch

~Woke up to a snowy landscape, which Cooper loved during his morning walk!

~Got caught up on the Bachelor and Vanderpump

~Made our way out to Home Depot to attempt o pick out everything for our bathroom--so many decisions!!

~Went to a Paint Nite event last night as a special date night together and had so much fun!
We are arteeeeeests lol

As you can see, we packed in a ton of fun with the family, and one another over the last few days. I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else because I couldn't have asked for a more perfect extended weekend!

  12. Paint night sounds like so much fun! My daughter attends art lessons weekly and I've always wished I could do them with her. You've inspired me to see if I can find one of these where we live. Have a great weekend :)
