Today is a mish-mash of random thoughts, so enjoy the ride through my consciousness:
One of our neighbors is an Asian woman and has a little white dog. He is ALWAYS escaping out of their house, mainly because they leave the door open (without his collar on) all the freaking time, and then the woman goes chasing after him. The best (weirdest?) part is that the dog's name is Doody. So she is running around our neighborhood, yelling out "Doody! Come back Doody!"

MG cooked tuna steaks on our new grill, Monster, this past weekend. I'm pretty sure he had a man-gasm over it's awesomeness. Any thoughts that we might sell this beast are pretty much out the window.
Watching Kaitlyn's resting duck face on The Bachelorette is getting annoying. I'm not sure how she does it, but I'd be ok if she stopped.
Sometimes I wish some parents understood that teachers need personal time, too. When it's not school hours and/or the weekend, there should not be an expectation of an instantaneous response to an email....or ten emails. We have lives, too, and they don't revolve around the kids we work with 24/7 (or we would go INSANE!!!)
Why is buffalo chicken dip so good? My SIL made some this weekend and I'm pretty sure I ate at least an entire buffalo's weight worth of it. Possibly two.
I'm excited about the Minions movie coming out. Those little guys are so cute, and the previews have been funny so far.
I also love dogs. And dogs dressed up like minions? Now you're talking. Enjoy:

Wait. Her dog's name is Doody? Ok then... sorry but I'd be laughing if I heard her running around screaming that. Although I'd be super sad if I lost my dog. Yes to buffalo dip... SO amazing! And I can't wait for the Minons movie either, it looks so cute!

three things: 1) I totally agree about Kaitlyn's resting face, it drives me crazy because it doesn't seem natural at all! 2) uh buffalo chicken dip?! we are soul mates! 3) my husband's a teacher so I totally agree about personal time, it drives your spouse crazy too. #trustme!

ReplyDeleteThe e-mail thing. Dear LORD I wish EVERYONE at work understood that!!! I get e-mails from people at 10:30pm and even 4:30am and they almost expect instant responses. Or, when I'm in meetings all day and I don't have an "out of office" response on, they expect me to respond immediately to their e-mails. Ridiculous. I feel ya there and hope they ALL stop it!

My other thoughts are: if you work at a restaurant that serves beer, you should know what kind of beer is which and if you don't then bring a cheat sheet or go check--don't pretend like you know what you're talking about, and same goes for wine. And also I am currently annoyed with people who are trying to make decisions at work for other people when all they do is sit in an office and have never experienced a day in the life of the job they are trying to change. AND....I could eat watermelon every single day and be happy :)
You couldn't be more right about Kaitlyn - I am so sick of this season I had to watch Monday night between two days....I just cannot take it anymore!

ReplyDeleteI've been loving the Minions previews - it looks so cute! I feel strange going to see a cartoon as an adult, but I think Adam and I are going to see Inside Out tomorrow night. I've heard it's really good, too!
