Happy Monday, friends! Hope you're ready to take on the week ahead!

Let's hop right into the highlights from the weekend!
My weekend highlights included:
~Friday night pizza date night at our favorite pizza joint
~Froyo for dessert
~Running into a student and his parents who tortured me last year (I successfully avoided the interaction)
~Rainy, overcast Saturday which lead to closet clean outs and adding to our donation pile; some HGTV may have been watched as well
~a trip to Kohls, Home Goods and World Market where I picked up a cute pullover for Fall, a pumpkin/apple scented candle and a gift for my friend's anniversary
~Found a coffee table that I fell in love with for our basement. Didn't pull the trigger...yet...
~finding out about a work placement that kinda ruined my afternoon
~Double date night with another couple at Mussel bar
(car selfie on the way, while MG made fun of me :)
~Gorging on the most delicious food: shrimp and grits, Mediterranean mussels, mac and cheese, calamari and the most amazing brussel sprouts I've ever had. Oh and pomme frites with some yummy dipping sauces.
For dessert.
Because oink.
~Food coma
~The most refreshingly cool Sunday morning with doors and windows open all day
Cooper enjoyed the people watching throughout the day from his "post" |
~running errands
~unknowingly drove by my previous supervisor's house while she was working in the yard with her husband (we were actually marveling at the pretty house and I was like "wait, I know her!" haha)--got to catch up a bit about the start of both of our school years
~Watching football and eating wings!--the weather definitely made it feel more like football season
~Cooper snuggles
~Thai food for dinner (and leftovers for lunch today! Yummmmm!)
~Switched between football and Miss America (with the funniest text convo ever) and then headed to bed to prepare for the week ahead
The best news is that even though it's Monday, today I get to see one of my favorite 3 year olds who I worked with last year and I absolutely can't wait!
I hope your weekend was awesome and you're ready for Monday!
Linking up with these pretties today:

You should have texted me! Miss America is my super bowl!
ReplyDeleteI am glad I am not the only one buying fall candles already, I have picked up a few including pumpkin, apple and cinnamon. They were buy 3 get one free so I ideally had to buy a few. Nothing better than lighting candles and having your house smelling.
ReplyDeleteI do like that coffee table, but I dread to think of the price. I seen one similar and the price was horrendous.
Mm, the pizza looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteCute coffee table!
