The Weekend of Churros....and other fun stuff too

Yeah you read that correctly...there were other highlights too!

~Friday double date with Christy and her husband the Pilot at MXDC--we haven't seen these two in a while so it was awesome to get together and catch up.
Wore the new maternity shirt my SIL got me for my birthday

Churros were had for dessert and they were yummy! (Night number 1 of churros)

~Saturday involved some organizing of the nursery--the focus today was getting the dresser/changing table organized.
We also unpacked the Pack and Play and got it set up in the living room--things are getting a lot more baby around here :)
~MG decided to paint the letters for Baby G's nursery that we'll hang on the wall once she gets here--we went with purple and will put it in one of the gray stripes on the wall above her crib
Already being such a good dad! :)
~Had another double date for the weekend with our couple best friends at Palette 22 where we had tapas and ended the night with....you guessed it--churros!
I wore another one of my maternity shirts that I haven't worn yet since it was finally really nice outside
I like the cutout on this shirt--gives it a little extra fun detail
~We started watching The Fall on Netflix and made it through the first season this weekend...man that show is dark and creepy, but it keeps you engrossed in it!

~Sunday morning started with blueberry pancakes followed by errands to Target where we picked up a rolling cart for the baby's closet to help us organize some more #nestinglikecrazy
I promise she has clothes that are not just pink lol
~Made my super delicious egg salad for lunch (recipe here and how to cook a perfect boiled egg)
~I finished up writing my thank you notes from my PA shower which was a big relief to get them done

~Went for a 2.5 mile walk and followed it up with some time on the deck since the weather was gorgeous
~I enjoyed some iced tea in my mason jar cup while MG had a beer
~Our grocery store finally started making their famous monterrey jack jalapeƱo burgers again so MG grilled those bad boys up for dinner--they were insanely good!
No churros were had tonight...which is probably a good thing for my blood sugar lol

The rest of the night was spent watching the rest of season 1 of The Fall before heading to bed.

Today marks the official first day of my Spring Break. Are you ready for my crazy plans today? An appointment with a dermatologist in the morning, and one with my OB in the afternoon. Watch out people...it's about to get wild!!! lol

Hoping you had a gorgeous and productive weekend...and maybe that at least one of your nights involved churros because churros are freaking delicious!
Happy Monday!!

  16. Man I kind of wish our Spring Break was this late. Granted it's a short week (even shorter for me, since I'll be home the next two days trying to get over this mysterious all over body rash I woke up with on Saturday morning.) But I too have an appointment with a dermatologist tomorrow. Hopefully we can figure out what caused it. But any, sounds like a fantastic weekend! You look so stinking cute by the way and I love that everything is coming together for Baby G! :) Enjoy your Spring Break girlie!
